Do people really think that the bird sounds are fake and added by the broadcast? Can anyone who was there this week confirm if there are birds chirping?

No collar, so disrespectful.

Shot tracker shows short and right of the bunker, but who knows

I’m sitting in my backyard right now in Mandeville and birds are going nuts. It’s spring time and 70 degrees so they are active. I would Imagine Augusta is no different

Matthew Wolff just broke another club.
He's quickly gone from a one of the top young players in the world to "I know I suck but I'm going to keep going out there while I have status".

I haven't been to Augusta but I've been to other tournaments, and yes you can hear birds chirping this time of year on courses with this many trees and flowers.

There are two things in particular that have rustled people in this thread the last 5-10 years.
- Nike henley shirts (but the Big Cat with his mock turtle gets a pass!)
- Adam Scott's gay putter.

Smock necks have always been acceptable in a situation where collared shirts are expected. This goes back to the 70s. Henleys are simply trashy

The Masters has started.
21 pages is pretty impressive for a pre-Masters thread.

They have tons of cameras and mics up in the trees so they pick up everything. But the chirping was NOT constant like this when I was there on Monday.

Birds are also mysteriously rarely seen at Augusta National. Bird sounds are heard during television broadcasts, but there is a rumor that those sounds are artificial.

Listen closely and you’ll notice that there seem to be a lot of birds at Augusta National—perhaps even a suspicious amount. Could it be that CBS is piping in chirps?
This is not a new conspiracy theory. In 2001, the network copped to using recorded bird sounds at the 2000 PGA Championship while insisting that the birds heard at the Masters “are live and … indigenous to Augusta.” But, given the relentless cacophony at this year’s tournament, could it be possible that something foul is afoot?

Cam Smith with a double bogey to start. Just brutal

Great par save for Tiger. He typically struggles with the 1st hole
