This is true. My son played in a Local US Open Qualifier, about 2-3 inches of rain the night prior. Water coming up in the fairway as we walked. No relief. It was ridiculous. The only relief we got were embedded balls, and there were plenty.

Obama just signed a Presidential Order allowing Tiger, and Tiger only (for SOME reason) to LCaP during the tournament...everyone play it down.

And its already started again. Tigers still not allowed to pull a club though.
And net, been going through stopped traffic for roadwork. Ar-Kansas can't keep their roads in good condition apparently.

I liked his answer about how many drivers he would hit.
"Every hole"
Trolling bitch.

a ball has to imbedd when it lands for relief to be given. if its really wet a ball can bounce once then embed on the hop in which no relief is given.

Well, this is completely wrong, but ok

You haven't got to Louisiana yet!

Small course so fan movement is going to be miserable. Driving range is a mile and a half from the course, said it might take up to a half hour from leaving the range to teeing off
This is all wrong. This driving range is attached to the course the US Open is being played on, not the West course.
Even with the rain, Merion will play a lot more difficult than most of you think.

The rough is the only thing that will make it tough for these guys.

Blame Brandel then, he's the one that told me that last night.
ETA: Just double checked it. They are using a range at the west course. Are you Merion's chairman or something?

Don't know about that. Watched Frank Nobilo preview the course last night and on one green (forgot which hole I think maybe 16) he was tossing balls onto the green from different spots and you could watch them roll way to the left then off the green! That green was setup to be about an 11.5 on the stimpmeter compared to all the others at 13. Putting from most locations won't be easy.

Here's a LINK to all of Nobilo's previews. I think the hole you're referring to is #5. 500 yard par 5 with a severely sloped green that runs off into a hazard.

Ernie Els says it took him 20 minutes to be shuttled from the range to the 1st tee for his practice round. All of the players have been told to allow at least 20 minutes to get from the practice area to the tee.
