It doesn't, and I'm no golf expert either but I just posted as to why he should WD

What time does TV coverage start today?
Posted on 4/13/13 at 10:02 am to jimithing11
Jimi, you really don't think he was trying to pull one over on the entire crowd, live and on t.v.
He's just the kind of pos to do this very sort of thing. He knows he's above the game. They probably brought him in this morning to ask him if he slept o.k., and if he wanted juice and coffee.
These dudes running this tournament suck him off more than anybody from this site.

Aschoff just had a solid tweet...
Did Golden Tate run over to the ref after the TD and beg him to reconsider after they blew the call? frick no.
If you're pitching a perfect game and the up blows the call, do you tell the media after the game that the MLB should DQ your perfect game because of the ump?
frick no

I don't think he realized it, no way he talks about it in an interview if he knowingly did it.
HE DID TALK ABOUT IT
He backed up to not hit the flagstick again IE (competitive advantage)

They didn't suddenly do it. The rule they applied has been in place since 2011.
I don't think the rule is for this type of thing.
It's annoying that all this happened. I hate controversy. I won't dislike tiger more or less if he withdraws, I just don't like the situation. And I doubt anyone else would get the same consideration, and that's what sucks.

Whoa buddy..... might be time to take a look in the mirror and examine your own life.

There's nothing solid about that tweet.

Gonna be an extremely interesting day to say the least. Ready to see Couples make a run at this thing

That's correct, no one else would get this publicity for this and that's sad. They would likely WD themselves for admitting that they took a competitive advantage.

He's good but he's not that good. He's not a laser robot.
He could hit that shot 100 times and not hit the flagstick. He was being a smart arse.
there was no competitive advantage for 20 inches (he's not a laser guided golf robot) and there should be no penalty because it was "near as possible" IMO.

It isn't butthurt so much as irony.
A place like Augusta, of all governing bodies, letting the smallest thing go when they have always had such an emphasis on attention to details is what makes this such good drama.
