Y’all don’t buy a damn thing yet

I just got a bonus at work so I funded my Roth IRA for the rest of the year so the bottom is about to fall out of the market, especially the S&P 500. Every time I put even a hundred or so into the market it falls so I’m sure me putting $5,500 in at one time will cause a global depression.

I’m vastly overpaid for what I do (don’t tell my employer though

That is horrible advice when stock buybacks are still at record highs on all the mega cap tech stocks and upper middle class "investors" will have their incomes supplemented if something goes wrong in the economy.

If you only put in $5,500, you can add another $500 for this year. That will ensure that the market tanks.
