I started buying it in my HSA and will keep buying it for as long as possible. Very curious to see how this plays out.

I don't think that biology has anything to do with it, but I agree with your point.

No, correct term. The value is the same.
I mean, technically correct, but in the age of fractional share availability, it is beyond a moot point. The cost is whatever you want to invest into Apple.
Whether it’s 2 shares at $115 or 1/2 of share at $460 is essentially irrelevant. One would assume the total cost is a fixed dollar amount that one determines in terms of making an entry.
This thread is so dumb.

Well if a stock at 400+ splits 4 ways, I can buy it for just over 100 then it will be worth 400 again almost immediately... right?
In other words, there is no need to wait to invest based on the ability to buy of 1 whole share.

This thread is so dumb.
most retail investors gravitate towards lower priced stocks.
just look at most of the threads on this board
it makes no sense whatsoever but the reality is that retailers will buy apple at 115 when they wouldn’t buy it at 460. Dumb yes but reality nonetheless

I wonder if brk.a did a 3000:1 split if any of you would buy. Why didn't you buy before?
Duh, It exists with BRK.B
F*** Buffet, He sits on billions of cash and pays no dividend. That stock sucks.

I've owned Apple since a few days after the last split. I'm going to continue riding this wave.

Bought a September 450 call yesterday when the stock was at 453. I guess when it splits and goes to 100+ the call will lose all of its value since there’s no chance it gets back to 450 by Sept 18.

This stock is going to shoot up like crazy by the end of the week, better to get in now IMO
Posted on 8/16/20 at 10:46 am to Drew Orleans
Nope, the value will be “adjusted”

Anyone think AAPL will drop down below $400 anytime this year. I want to get in longterm but I feel like buying in now might be at the top. I'd rather wait for a lower price..
Posted on 8/16/20 at 11:40 am to iruntings
It's definitely going to drop below that in 2 weeks.
Posted on 8/16/20 at 1:42 pm to TigerDeBaiter
Fractional shares aren’t on every platform though
Posted on 8/16/20 at 1:43 pm to iruntings
August 31 it will drop well below $400
Posted on 8/16/20 at 2:07 pm to Upperdecker
lol yep. I'm holding AAPL for a while.
Posted on 8/16/20 at 2:28 pm to bass
I was joking. I’m screwing with the people who are considering buying Apple now that it’s “cheaper”
