If they use 2019 tax filing for those that have submitted, I fricked myself by filing early.

Save it for my kid’s school tuition since I’ve lost out on a lot of overtime.

Put $500 into my child’s savings account. Take 20% and donate it to a charitable cause. Take a few hundred and treat ourselves to something nice to help stimulate the economy.

The rest is going to the principal of my mortgage.

I don't think my wife and I will qualify for the money, or at least not the full amount, but we've decided if we get a check we're going to donate half to CAAWS (Capital Area Animal Welfare Society) and half to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.

Hold 30% back because I suspect they'll tax it as income next year.

Fox News had someone from the Treasury Department this morning (I think it was taped, not live) who said the stimulus checks are not taxable income.

I’m not either but this is not “our money”.
I don’t think it’s truly dawned on most people what’s happening here...this $2T or whatever it winds up being is currency/liquidity conjured up from thin air

the future implications of that are pretty well beyond most peoples understanding including my own
