“It’s a big mistake, in my view, when you have seven and a half billion people that don’t like you very well, and you got 300 million that are crowing in some way about how well they’ve done - I don’t think it’s right, and I don’t think it’s wise,” Buffett said. “The United States won. I mean, we have become an incredibly important country, starting from nothing 250 years ago. There’s not been anything like it.”

Reminds me of something Obama said once:

quote:

“We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times … and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK,”

F both of them.

I have hated Buffet for his political involvement for years. frick the EU and frick evey single country that has waged tariff war against the U.S.A. without proper response.

Buffet's often wrong. He's human. He's wrong here. We're adjusting the world's economic playing field and the result will be better for us all.

Warren Buffett is the typical liberal weirdo. He has had an open marriage for decades. He lives with his girlfriend now while his wife has her own life. He loves calling for higher taxes. He wants to leave almost nothing to his children. He’s a savvy investor but not a role model in anyway.

He is the most astute investor of our lifetime. You can certainly disagree with him but I wouldn't discount what he's saying. He's been far more right than wrong over his career.

Buffet has a bias, which is making money. He is going to oppose anything that poses a threat to his mastery of the market. I really don't care what a billionaire thinks about tariffs.

Didn't his wife pass away. Pretty sure they separated, he never left the office. He married his current wife like 20 years ago

Taxes have mostly come down in his lifetime.

His kids are billionaires, he has given them over 3b each over a decade ago

In buying companies and/or stocks, yes. Now ask him if he would invest in a company or run a company with the balance sheet of the US Federal Government.

Yeah, we all know the answer.

Yes we do. Berkshire Hathaway is holding in excess of $300 billion in cash and it's parked in U. S. Treasury securities of varying maturity.
Buffet has spoken many times over his career in the importance of the full faith and credit of the of the U.S. government.

Buffett considered the most patient investor of our time. Emotions not really part of the equation

His children are 66, 70, and 71. He made them wealthy already. They will be OK.

Buffett is one of the greatest investors of all time. Perhaps the GOAT.

He is right way more times than he is wrong. His Economics lens > his Politics lens. Warren Buffett on tariffs is right.

Trump, armed with Economics degree, knows the net cost vs net benefits are upside down. Goes to show Power Economics Trumps Trump’s education.
