I loaded up on DIS in March and I was ridiculed here as though that was a dumb move but I’m up 65% since then and today I may be 75-80%. Anyone else loaded up on DIS at their low and held?

Congrats. Many other stocks have gone up 4-5 times that since March by comparison.

Kind of a weird brag. 65% gain is great and you should be happy about that - congrats on that.

But, it would be hard to pick a stock to have invested in in March that isn’t up a lot right now, many stocks far more than 65%.

It was on the list and I just never ended up adding any. Big regrets.

My point is I was told by many here back in March that it was a dumb idea to load up on DIS.

You were probably told by others that it was a good investment, too. I remember a DIS thread where one guy said it was the easiest short of his life and several people called him out on it. I think Russian even bumped the thread recently to make fun of him.

In relation to short term gains, there were obviously better plays out there, but in the long run, DIS under 100 will be a great investment. So be happy, no need to call out no name posters.

Friend,

Many people, not just this friend, failed to learn the difference between subject and object pronouns. I blame our schools.

It’s all relative on risk tolerance. I bought DIS as a strong long term hold. I knew it wouldn’t triple, but it also didn’t drop 3x either.

A march or April but is a great entry point.

Edit for typo

I bet the South Eastern Conference is even happier with Disney today than you are.

I bought in late 90s with an average cost of around $30. It didn’t do much for quite a few years but I’m doing fine now.

Yeah, the DIS gain is nice. But, to compare...

MGM is up 135% since April 21
KTB is up 197% since May 13
DAL is up 110% since March 18

Same. I got in at $93/share. Only 40 shares, but that purchase is up 81.7% as I'm typing. I distinctly remember several posters dogging DIS around that timeframe. Don't have the time to go back and dig through old posts. But this is glorious.
