Twitter (and not the stock)

Ok guys and gals,
After reading lots of yalls post over the past many months I've decided to start a Twitter account for the sole purpose of following some of these accounts and people that are "insiders" and post breaking news of any particular company....such as Ophir from CML.
Who else do yall suggest I start following for quick info on stocks?
TIA!!!

don’t list to that crap about twitter...it’s the single greatest tool in the history of retail investing
start by doing a search a few times a day for a particular ticker...let’s choose TDOC. Go to the search bar and search $TDOC. Look and see who is commenting on TDOC and make note. You want professional traders (read their timelines) and you’ll have to wade thru the spambots and other BS. This is how I found Richard Chu for example, who is a pro analyst covering TDOC
Do this for multiple tickers and you’ll build a curated feed.
watch and follow the feeds that look legit and use technical analysis
It’s all I use now for daily tips and insight. From there you can dig deeper

Thanks for your reply cgrand.
Obviously I listen to you and AT and a few others.
Was just hoping to get some more info elsewhere.
Sorry to rile up some of you other peoples feathers this morning

Twitter is awesome, just a lot of butt hurt people right now who will be back on there in a few months anyways.

and it’s...FREE
and you don’t have to read or see anything you don’t want to read or see.
and you can just read, you don’t have to interact at all.
and you can unfollow or add follow anyone you care to
15 years ago if someone told you you could access a stick trading chat room and get insight from professionals with long track records, and curate that chat room based on any number of criteria your first question would have been “how much does that cost?”

Well, they suspended my account for "hate speech" when I made a redneck joke about taking up two parking spaces.

Also get tweetdeck and these feeds can show up individually next to each other. If you find someone really great at trading the way you like to trade, for example TraderStewie is a good one, you can just have their feed in a column.

Nobody cares about your hurt feelings. This has nothing to do with OP's question

Hurt feelings were a delicious gift for my Facebook options/shares - gracias. I really need to work on setting up my Twitter game, especially since seekingalpha/the comments sections were a big part of my routine and behind a paywall now. Ophir, Richard Chu, traderstewie, tweetdeck feature sound like a good starting off point that will lead me down endless rabbit holes, thank you.

I use Twitter solely to follow finance stuff and it has been invaluable. I'm not a fan of how they operate but as Cgrand said, you'll be hard-pressed to find a free medium that has such valuable information. And if you leave it at that, you will bypass 99% of the other bullshite that is spewed there.
To the OP, Ophir is one of the best follows for buy and hold stocks.

Great info, thanks for sharing? Do you have any others that may be valuable for non day traders?

CGrand, would you mind sharing the handles of some of the ones you follow? For us newbs, it's hard knowing who to trust in the Twitterverse

here is something i found today.
one of the people i follow retweeted it, otherwise i never would have seen it
LINK
within that thread is information and resources that can make the difference between retiring wealthy or just living check to check. what could be more valuable?
and that information is FREE

I am taking a break from Twitter (for obvious biased censorship reasons)
But here are my old follows I’ll return to once I decide to get back on
@smallcappicks <= this dude seems pretty legit in his picks
@pawcio2009 <= keeps a bio stock pick’em list sorta like MT
@biostocks
@vextrades
@biorampcapital
@bioswongtrade1
@ragincajun
@brendan_49
...and many more
One thing I really like to do is use the advanced search function to find good stock pickers. Here’s how: I find a hot stock that’s run up bigly (like ZOM or TGTX in December) and I search for who was talking about it before it takes off. You can bracket your search period. Then I follow that person for new hot picks.
I miss Twitter. Oh well. Hope they sort out the whole censoring politicians thing soon.
Other big warning: People lie on Twitter. They could be shorting the stock or be pumping the stock so they can dump. Look for users who have had accounts for a long time. That to me makes me think they are probably normal people who like to talk about stocks.
