President Donald Trump nominated Jerome Powell as Federal Reserve Chair on November 2, 2017.

Nobody is perfect. But in hindsight this was a mistake IMO.

Mr Transitory and his committee waited too long to hike rates, then when they finally relented, it was on a compressed schedule (likely because they realized how late they were) that some believe led to liquidity issues at banks like SVB.

I know Powell doesn’t own all of that. But the Fed’s moves in summer 2021 the end year 2022 were not as well executed as they should be. They waited too long, then tried to make up for it with hasty moves when we should have been boiling the frog.

I didn’t vote for dementia Joe. Didn’t vote for Kamala. I don’t worship any politician like you do because it’s abnormal and weird. You have been absolutely desperate and wishcasting for ‘rates’ to come down for several years on here and have ignored all the liquidity Trump injected in the economy from March 2020 through Jan 2021.

You live in a cuckbox condo likely with high monthly association fees that you want to get out of but can’t because nobody will buy it in current market. Sucks to be you.

Biden and Powell using slightly different phrases is telling. Joe probably had a senior moment and forgot the exact language of the talking point. They were both using the same talking point aimed to sway public opinion. The idea of no bias is absurd given human nature.

And as always I was right and they lowered them exactly as predicted. Now we will get even more this year

I’m not the one that’s over leveraged and desperate for ‘rates’ to come down like you have been. That speaks volumes about you. Rates aren’t high enough in my opinion. You are a total fraud that acts like a fool on here daily.

I'm still waiting on a link to your source for your "20% inflation" claim.

Or, did you just made it up like you usually do...

I liked it better when politics was in the politics board.

I don't care who said it first. I care what the Fed Chair and FOMC did. There is plenty of criticism of the Fed for acting too late (and possibly acting prior to a presidential election that many have painted as questionable). I would not care who nominated who or what their political affiliation is -- they would get the criticism regardless.

Let’s start with inflation. Over Biden’s near-four years in office, inflation is up roughly 20%. Under Trump, inflation was up 8%.

Trump wants low rates.
Low interest rates encourages more borrowing.

We currently have record levels of debt from consumer to governmental levels.

I think we know where this is heading

So your 20% inflation claim is not an annual inflation rate but is cumulative over 4 years?!?

And it is the opinion of almost all economists the main reason inflation spiked in 2021, 2022 & 2023 was the result of trillions of dollars in COVID relief/stimulus free money injected into our economy as passed by congress and signed into law by President Trump in 2020.

That was the action that Powell called “transitory” when he referred to the “uptick” in inflation.

You’re deceptive about everything you post. Liar.

How specifically am I over leveraged. Why would I need to refinance?

Why would I ever sell?
