Tesla at 400.

Small but not insignificant, to me, position of Tesla stock. Is 400 a share the sell point? It’s been flirting with the milestone. Lock in profits? Or does this stock have a further run up?
Questions.. Questions..
Questions.. Questions..

What is your investment horizon? Tesla is one of a few companies that I feel should be in everyone's portfolio as a long term hold

Wish I had gotten some.

I just haven't seen any fundamental shift to drive Tesla up. The Q3 results before the election were an unmitigated disaster. I guess the speculation is due to him having the ear of Trump?
1. Trump hates EVs. If he looks past that, exactly what is Tesla going to get out of Elon's current position of strength?
2. I think it's MUCH more likely Elon uses his current situation to drive contracts and business to SpaceX, even going so far as to suggest NASA be shuttered via his DOGE recs.
Anything with Elon attached to it is going to inevitably have a certain subset of investors looking past fundamentals and common sense, instead concentrating on "it's Elon". I mean, maybe that hype drives it to $650? Or it could burst down to $200 when the numbers don't change in Tesla's favor? I wouldn't touch it. If I were you, take your profits and run.

Tesla is rumored about to announce a new model that is going to be priced in the mid $30,000 range.

ended up taking profits and selling my position recently after the big election bump at around $340-350 a share. Ive been in and out of this stock a few times now with what i would consider great success and was expecting another sharp downturn after the sharp increase, as this stock typically operates. it did go down slightly to the lower 300's, but obviously did not stay there
Will it come back down? history and rationality indicate it should, but this stock has never been rational. My original plan was to sell half my position and let the other half ride, but i did not have diamond hands, just wet paper towel hands. This could be a good strategy for you, playing with house money so to speak
Very hard to time the market, especially with this stock. but its volatility makes the reward very sweet if you pull it off
However, you cant go broke taking a profit

I’ve given up on trying to time Tesla haha. Long term hold for me, I buy once a month and try not to look at the price in between.

I think you guys are not fully understanding Tesla . It is not a car company. It is a AI company. Many of things to come between FSD, Robotaxi, Optimus bot, and energy storage. The models people are plugging in for evaluations in the company by 2030 are wild!

I've just held on for a long time. I road the wave last time to 400 plus and didn't sell. Not selling this time either. It's just so much more than just EV.

Oh. You’re one of “them”. Just tell everyone how you really feel about Elon

No they weren’t. Their operating costs reduced significantly, with an uptick in margins. Their eps beat consensus by 25%.
Everything else you wrote is just masking your hate for the guy.
OP if you believe the new admin is going to slash regulations and bureaucracy by and large, stick it out with TSLA.

I actually think there’s more runway with Tesla.
Robotics, self driving cars, air travel…
I’ve owned and want to continue owning. Might even buy more

I don’t understand why people constantly hate on a company that has skyrocketed in value the past few years.
They’re constantly proven wrong, yet they still act like they’re smarter than everyone else.
At this point, you’re not convincing anyone who has stuck with Tesla to sell their shares. I’m up 1,265% since I purchased by 75 shares on 4/2/2020, zero chance I sell because some anonymous poster has bad FOMO and they missed out big time.
