Tawnf - Thai airways dd

Hey fellas this one is kinda speculative

Thai airways is one of the big 4 airlines in Thailand carrying between 20-25% of their air traffic, a lot of which is tourism. Tourism is approximately 1/3 of Thailand’s economy

This airline has been plagued with management issues and corruption but was trading in the 50 cent range pre covid

Covid hit Thailand’s airlines hard and there’s been 3 rounds of bailouts for all of them in the last year already

Tawnf was previously nationalized meaning the government owned 50% of shares until last year when the government dumped 4% of the shares

Tawnf is in 600 billion baht worth of debt currently and facing bankruptcy. There was a meeting on Tuesday to ease creditor terms which was delayed as 20 creditors wanted to review the deal better. At that time the creditors had the option of voting to liquidate in which they would have received 12.9 % of the debt as assets. They didn’t want to do this

In March when news of this meeting was released the stock went up 3000% in one day

It’s on a run now that I think I will continue through Tuesday and the meeting is at 9am their time Wednesday? Which is 9pm Tuesday night here
