That is often the case with pre-revenue companies. If he does well, he'll probably oversee the next facilities to be built, as well. Potential is pretty high on this one...

That's a little crazy. Starting salary for a new chem engineer that's done well in school and has summer experience is north of $100K.

Working for startups can be pretty lucrative if things work out. I’m sure people understand that they’re signing up for long hours and blazing trails. Hard arse work. Startups aren’t for everyone.
Nothing in life is guaranteed.
I share like many in this thread the excitement for the possibilities here.
A big part of any company story is execution. As someone who works from home a lot, you can’t do a ton of stuff that isn’t visible.
Hopefully this all works out for us and we create a Money Board Tailgate to display all the lambos.

Surely you mean you can do a ton of stuff that isn't visible...right? Not sure why I can't decipher this unless the two negatives are throwing me off lol

What’s fun is that even this little nugget of information has the potential to bump the share price.

I’m getting more excited as we go.
Someone asked here are they a Graphene producer or a Hyperion manufacturer?
It looks like they are both. They are vertically integrated like Intel.
They make the machine that produces the substance.

As I understand it, the original business model was to build and sell Hyperions to customers. That business model didn't fly.
They pivoted to being a graphene producer when Kjirstin Bruere became CEO, and that is where they are going now. Occasionally, I see a post talking about how HGRAF has been trying to peddle this stuff since 2017 and that is just a repeat of the same old scam of buying Hyperions, which nobody wanted to do.

Well thats troubling.
If i had a machine that made gold i would not try to sell the machine.

It seems it would've been a much faster way to get filthy rich.

The original business model was created by Dr. Sorenson, who is the professor at KSU who invented the machine. He didn't want to be part of creating a manufacturing business, as he liked being a professor. He wanted to have someone manufacture Hyperions and sell them. He was not a businessman and didn't see the big picture.
He sold his patents to the Hyperion and remains a part-time consultant to HGRAF. They took it in the current direction.
Ignoring - Can you can confirm my story? I'm pretty sure I didn't must make this up - I think it's all somewhere in this monster of a thread.

That makes perfect sense.
Knowing the whole story I would have probably done the same.

For the 1st time ever a large portion of my shares went out for loan. I got the email this morning and to be honest I forgot HG was available to be lent out. I've had other securities loaded out, but never HGRAF, not sure what it means at this point. It's only a 5% interest rate, I've gotten more than twice that rate for others.

I think it fluctuates. Mine is at 5.254%.

Sort of yes. Sorenson did the experiment. Published about it. Got approached from many folks in Asia but also a Vancouver outfit. He wanted to keep it domesticish so went with Vancouver folks who said if you can build a prototype we will license it and do everything. He did that and they licensed.
It was them who pushed the idea of the old business model. I think Sorenson just went along and wanted to stay in the lab. He assumed they were the business people. There is a small legacy still on the board from that group but now the minority. The change in strategy was pushed by KB to what we see now. The old school now is a minority position, and she has brought in her new blood in directors (Wilkinson, Landis, Bennigson, and the tech advisory board)
