The amount of butthurt in his last few posts tells me he isn't trolling. He is just that stupid, even after being proven wrong over and over again, to accept reality.

Normally this kind of vitriol stays away from the MB, so I give him props for stirring shite up on a generally calm board.

ETA: Nevermind, I just went through some of his post history. He likes to argue just for argument's sake....he also has an unusual fascination with posting about dick (am I am not talking about the past vice prez).

I didn't read through this entire thread so I apologize if this point has already been talked about.

If I were you I'd go into my bosses office today and tell him either I get another 7% sign on bonus or I quit.

Let us know how that goes.....

Shocked that this thread got to 11 pages in a day

MTB just handed this kid a strong dose of reality...over and over and over and over again for the last 10 pages.

I just saw he lives in Dallas...we could share an employer

It wasn't a lie. Their guidelines say that 3% is the most they are allowed to give to people that don't even understand the difference between base/recurring salary and a one-time signing bonus.

For other people they are allowed to give more than 3%.

No I'm doing work for 96% of my total compensation for last year. Which is ridiculous.

No you are dickweed. Take out your "bonus" and you are making 3% more. Notice, it was not an ANNUAL bonus, it was a SIGN ON bonus. Aka, one and done.

My ANNUAL bonus can range from ~5-15% so my actual gross fluctuates.

If you worked for me, and I read this, I would fire you immediately.

Everyone take notice. The above is a top shelf, industrial strength, Def Con 1, message board melt.

It made me think of this:

Looks like the dipshit is back lurking. When everyone but him has 1 single downvote, it's a dead giveaway.

Guaranteed that Op made a large purchase (vehicle, home, etc) based on last year’s income, and is now freaking out because the numbers are going to be different this year

By $2k TOTAL. The difference between his paycheck currently and what he wants is $75 BEFORE tax.

Well damn, then it sounds like you have a clear cut case for demanding a raise. If they don't give it to you, I'm sure one of your company's competitors will be willing to pay you more, or give you another sign-on bonus. The sky is your limit, baw.

Plenty of companies only do COL raises annually. I am aware if 3 very well performing corps at the head of their respective indistries that only do COL raises. Any real rIse has to be tied to a promotion.

Prove you’re worth it. By the sounds of it, you aren’t. So you’ll huff and ouff your way out the door. Only to take another job and fimd out the new place still expects you to prove your worth.

I know thats a difficult concept for you. Good luck.

Jesus, kid, it was a signing bonus not part of your base pay.

You're still earning a higher salary. Now then last year.

Unless you want to spend your time hopping from job to job for catching more signing bonuses, get over yourself and you inability to understand words.
