I believe this will be a mostly sideways market in 2025.

Maybe +/- 3%

I won’t put percentages to it, but I firmly believe it’ll be a year to buy.

This where I am. Going +5%/-5%.
Lot of cross currents with sticky inflation, just a couple of small rate cuts, high valuations and a potential trade war. Lots of volatility. I think option sellers that are discipled should do well.

I could see this for the year overall, but think it will be one of runs. Probably gets a solid start with a true correction somewhere in the middle and a rebound by year-end.

My prediction is a huge volatility spike Q1/2 while they figure out how Trump/Bessent are going to manage the debt load. Q3/4 resume march higher.

I'm bullish. AI is going to turn into insane profits for most companies.

The divide between the rich and the poor is going to be huge in the next few years.

Sure feels like a volatile time to be bullish.

What do I know, though. I have been expecting a strong correction since Dow at 20k that has never come.

I offer it already is. Those with money in the market (& property) and those without have seen that gap widen since the housing crash in 2008. Getting in the market and STAYING in the market (dollar-cost-averaging) has been critical for families to create $$$ for homes, education, retirement, etc.

I’m 40 upper middle class and I see a huge difference between me and my friends (lower to mid middle class) and the gap is increasing every year. I expect to be a millionaire within 3 years while their net worth probably stays below 100k. Yes I bought a house that has doubled in price, had 401ks since I started working, and I invest. I also have a good savings in capital one HYSA. Best thing ever was convince my parents to put their savings in a capital one HYSA. Every month they brag to me how much interest they collect and makes them feel good. I love that I did that for them

Not trying to split hairs with you, but having a net worth under 1mm at 40 is not upper middle class.

Just curious, do you consider that too little or too much for upper middle class?
