That is so far off from the forecast it looks like a misprint.

I wonder if market has that priced in already. Seems like a major miss though.

I'm looking a real time trade feed for both WTI and Brent. The markets open again. What exactly is everyone looking at with respect to the March contract being down over a buck?

FOMC meeting statement due out tomorrow. Market seems to be in "buy the rumor" mode today.

Market opened at 6PM EST. It's down about .70. Maybe they're reporting market's close at 5:15, or market's high yesterday, which ended at 5:15 today.

Who knows? Who cares?

Speculators thinking OPEC may cut production but that's a big "if"

I don't see how the opec statement changes anything. This is no different than what Saudi Arabia has said the entire time. Furthermore, how in the hell are publicly held companies supposed to explain lower production to their shareholders, and how would they even be held to that? In my opinion this is a non-starter.
As far as the production numbers, are there ever any notes to explain the number? I'd love to know how they were off by a factor of 3.

UCO. What is the boards thoughts. My opinion is a good buy right now and I don't see oil going much lower or staying very long. Pretty sure a skirmish will pop up soon to make oil prices go to 40-60 bucks in the next 4 months

Some wells should be shut in at less than $30. Not many but a few.

I think that's a good play, it's only been this low 2 times in the last 11 years. Am I reading it's info right that it pays a 8% dividend? I'm still new to this.
