Not a good look but Solana is still in beta and this happened last year also. Still a huge fan but it shows why ETH is king. Most people do not understand the tradeoffs blockchains make when it comes to scalability and decentralization

IMO its an even worse signal if this type of thing is becoming regular for solana.

apparently a solana tradeoff is you might just be SOL (*acronym pun, tight*)

Either the market doesn't understand or the market doesn't care. Could be both too I suppose.

Likely. You literally can’t do anything with your SOL right now if it’s in a wallet

I agree but like I said the network is still in beta. People just ignore this stuff during hype cycles. I’d guess the overwhelming majority of new entrants into SOL had no idea this was possible

This is why BTC security, and to an extent ETH gas fees, are far more secure than these POS chains trying to figure it all out. POW is a reminder that it just works.

I never really understood why we must go away from POW when you can literally just Layer 2 on BTC/ETH for pennies.

Hell if SOL goes back under 100 I’ll talk shite about it but might be a buyer there. Institutions seemed to like it and I could see it heading back up.

Of course they like it. VC’s own most of it.

I’m riding with it. It’ll eventually go back up so I don’t feel like paying fees to transfer. If I do it would just go up soon after lol.

I’d be incredibly surprised if it doesn’t crash when it returns online
