It’s more important to be first or early than to be right for media now. And then the retractions are weak or non-existent.

this is weird
what is the circulating supply?
what is the current market value?
Is there a discrepancy on one of these things or both of them between sources?
CoinMarketCap has the total supply of HEX as 633,542,658,973 and the token value at this moment as $0.3742 which would give a "fully diluted market cap" of $237,455,828,907.15. But it also has the circulating supply as 173,411,074,413 which gives a market cap of $64,995,576,593.35.
I guess I'm not privy to what the difference between circulating supply and total supply means, in this context.

Better question, why is hex #201 on CMC when its market cap (according to them) puts Hex in the top 10 easily?
Coinpaprika also has hex in the top 3…..
Even weirder, etherscan and nomics have hex at the same market cap……why is coin market cap so far off???
Can we not trust etherscan?

Good points.
If you bank on binance owned coinmarketcap as your authority for all things crypto, you may want to dig a little deeper. Politics, money, etc have a lot to do with how they operate, and it isn't in the good interest of you or me!.

well you seem to be a HEX enthusiast, can you shed some light?
Posted on 9/13/21 at 2:18 pm to boomtown143
So what do we think the real market cap of HEX is currently?
70 billion
240 billion?
Some other?

240 billion?
Some other?

Hey man, for someone who has no dog in the fight you sure jump in here and stir crap up after every hex post. Give it a rest. People are trying to talk through this stuff. No one has all the answers.
Coinmarketcap is corrupt. Crytpo influencers are corrupt. None of them look out for your good. I don't have all the answers about why they gatekeep and what not.

Yea I'm confused as to why such a large discrepancy. Also can't come up with a reason for a generic coin ranking website to artificially suppress a single coin's ranking with no explanation. Why is HEX the only coin that is artificially suppressed, and who gains from that?

I like to stir up crap because the HEXicans are literally the most sensitive group of people on the internet and it is fun to poke at them Oh, and that is the response a large portion of the time when people asked about HEX in the past...so in reality, it wasn't that much of a troll
And your quote of my words is about HEX, and completely accurate. My opinion on HEX has zero to do with my response, but you are tying my response back to HEX for some reason. I see a trend developing...when HEX supporter gets hated on or trolled, the HEXicans think it is a bash against HEX when the coin itself has nothing to do with it

Well, we need less trolling here and more good discussion. All good!

Fair enough, I'll cut the crap
...for now

It's not. I was in this Euro crypto Discord group for a while, and they would complain about the gatekeeping also, and they hated HEX. Those poor cats were really bad traders. They kept picking trash play after trash play and were smug, so I left the group. Our Discord group is by far the best I've found for crypto discussion.

The HEX market cap on Nomics is a fully diluted market cap however the other coins it shows in the top ten and likely all the rest are not fully diluted
On nomics
BTC shows it’s circulating supply market cap of 845b vs it’s fully diluted of 945b
ETH shows correctly because all the market cap maybes the fully diluted
HEX shows a 208b market cap which is fully diluted vs the 63b
ADA shows 77b whereas fully diluted would be 108b
The rest are the same story
Some frickery going on. If I was a Hexican I would rather the smaller market cap to be shown for potential buyers.

Yea that is incredible odd

No doubt. I was just saying the same thing.

They're not. Coins ranked from 201-211 on cmc are all ranked incorrectly
