Cancelling shares shows that they are serious about not dilluting shareholders, which is very good.
Cuhna provides a great explanation:

If I didn't have more reason to be behind NBIS, Cramer spewing out jargon about CRWV makes me feel 1000% better about NBIS. It's like when Corso used to pick your OPPONENT with headgear, you felt better that Saturday morning

If the companies keep going in the direction they are headed, the stock price of NBIS will surpass that of CRWV.
CRWV relies primarily on 2 customers, is not as user friendly as NBIS, is heavily in debt, and has lost 1/3 of its value in the last month. Please put some lipstick on that pig.

I'd like to close just another .5% up as well (if that's all we can get)..

Bayou....since you seem to be knowledgeable about NBIS, should I sell half of my 300 shares of NVDA and purchase some NBIS for a greater return.
NVDA will continue to climb but NBIS can catch fire and make a crazy run.

I believe NBIS will be worth 25B before NVDA is worth 8.4 trillion.
Do with that what you will.

How is next Monday August 7th?
Posted on 7/28/25 at 7:59 am to bayoubengals88
Hoping for an uneventful week followed by a good earnings report.
A month ago, NBIS was the darling of all the analysts - a better company than CRWV because they were more efficient, vertically integrated, had no debt, more diversified, and growing like crazy.
This month, the tune is changing. Many of the reports seem to be focused on competition and CRWVs $25B backlog. Even at that, CRWV stock has dropped by 1/3.
Why the negativity with the AI infrastructure stocks. Is it because investors are afraid that Amazon and Google are going to scale up and price NBIS and CRWV out of business?

But yes, bears don't think that NBIS can come out ahead of the hyperscalers.
Bull think they have found their niche with customization and better pricing. Oversimplification of course.

The negativity is not focused on NBIS, but there is more caution. I think analysts see NBIS more as a niche player and not the next big AI infrastructure giant - which I take to be that they aren't going to be a dominant player.
NBIS and CRWV are both growing like crazy, but both stocks have leveled off/gone down. I'm just wondering if the overall sentiment is that AWS and GCB are going to scale up and take over the market, and that has dampened the enthusiasm a bit.

No... ??
I always try to have a healthy dose of skepticism. I hope for the best and expect the worst. I'm disappointed less, that way.
I think it's dangerous to assume to assume your stock is a sure fire winner, so I reel myself in occasionally, and look for a downside...

There are so many other stocks that are more directly tied to that trade deal, that I wasn't expecting a big boost. The fact that NBIS is only seeing a slight downturn and CRVW is down over 2% may be a sign that the EU portion of Nebius is seeing a bump.
I think the earnings report next week will be the catalyst for the next run. I'm hoping that investors turn their attention back to the AI infrastucture and see the value in these companies. The infrastructure has to be there or AI won't reach it's potential of replacing millions of workers and causing the nuclear holocaust...
