Thanks man, huge help. Hoping to pull a B, but it may be tough ! Super comfortable with the excel work, and having no problem with that - just struggling with the assignment a tad bit.

I can’t reiterate enough watch those add’l videos. You’ll be pleasantly surprised when working through the assignment.

Thanks for the advice @btx, will definitely use it. This week there really aren’t any additional pertinent videos, only one about setting up graphs in excel (which I already knew pretty well) and two comedy videos, lol.

Anyone taken Heller for MADM 701?

Specifically looking for insight about the weekly exams...

Can anyone speak to the difficulty/focus of these?

Back to the grind. Anyone is ISDS 702? I am. Looks pretty reasonable at first glance. I didn't have a lot of time to get into it yet though. I'm pairing it with MADM 701, so I'm hoping that it balances out all the writing.

Me... It almost seems too easy.
Half way done and finally there is a professor that posts a lecture and hosts zoom sessions?!?! Lovin' it!

Baroqen, Who do you have for MADM701? I took Williams last SPAP1 as my first class. After 20 yrs of no school, that was quite the wake-up call :(

I'm taking McLaughlin. I had her for MADM 760, and it was extremely tolerable. While the quizzes could be tough if you weren't prepared, the total workload was extremely predictable from week to week, so you didn't have any heavily overloaded weeks like some classes do. The work was all nicely spread out, and there's significant value in that.

That said, it's a "teach yourself" class like a number of other classes in the program. I've heard teachers like Meeks and James have crazy workloads, but at the same time they appear to be teaching their classes. I don't mind the teach yourself format, but I really did like the level of interaction and "teaching" from Shaughnessy's class and wish more of the classes were like that.

I'm about to start the same program in an upcoming term. Which core classes should not be taken together?

@zachtiger. Im not sure if you attended Shaugnessy's zoom, but he doesnt record them. I asked and he explained less people would show up. he will record a snippet if its something new to add to his playlist, but he uses Zoom as a reward

I’m in it with you. I agree. Did you work all the problems on the practice or just the first page.

@zachtiger. I’m conflicted. He won’t directly answer the questions for the assessment. So if you need help, he can’t. So really my best resource is fellow students.

There were about 11 people online out of the 200 in the class.

I’m still trying to get through the readings. I’ve read the notes a few times but now need to read the book and do the problems.
