Shaughnessy did not curve for my class and I never heard of him doing so. Get on chegg and study up for the final

Quote..."The LSUS MBA program recently moved over to ProctorU, which is one of the worst proctoring I have ever experienced. It's a privacy nightmare and gave me severe anxiety for any test. If I wasn't in the middle of the program, I would not get an MBA from LSUS based solely on this fact.

ProctorU: Made me show them all my medical paperwork next to my desk despite being open book, took control of my mouse and opened up pinned tabs that weren't open, went thru my folder, asked me to show where my phone was and then asked me to prove where it was, reviewed everything on my desk, reviewed everything on my computer. Every time I have to take a test it's the worst day of the week. Don't choose this school." END QUOTE

This is HIGHLY inaccurate and in no way a representation of my experience with ProctorU.

This is likely a bot post or some shite. ProctorU is fine.

Most would probably tell you not to pair Finance and Econ but if you're savvy with both of them, then youll be fine.

Go with Choi/Shaugnessy if you can.

Khan Mktg: Got a 100 on Test 5.

I think he softened this one up. Hopefully the last one is similar.

Khan Mktg--It seems as if he changed his class because theres a few folks who took him in the past saying he wasnt too bad.
But in the last couple weeks we have several folks saying how difficult hes been. Makes me think he made some changes.
I bombed the Marketing Problem as well and felt confident about most of my answers. Really strange.

@AZBlue--this is exactly what you should be doing.

Khan MKTG--More D's and F's on the last test than A's, B's, AND C's.

"The material is more complex" NO the frick it wasnt.

Kungus MADM 701 class is very light.

If any class can be paired its this one. Youll be fine just be ready to devote the time.

"some tests are harder than others" is fine if that material is more difficult... but its not.

A Kindergartner can grasp this shite.

With 2 more elective classes till I graduate, I may just cruise through and take a B. Should be getting A's on all the writing though.

Saw that email. A curve would be warranted.

Sounds like the problem solving quiz will be tough.

I got a 68 and have gotten 88-92 on previous tests.

Khan Mktg Peeps: I had been getting As and Bs on his tests but just bombed this most recent test. I admittedly didnt put as much effort into studying but I felt the questions and answers were particularly vague.

I came across several instances were 2-3 answers could be justified to the question.

How'd yall do on it?

Finished Choi with an A.
All 100s on papers
95, 75, 55 on the 3 tests.

The last test I did not even read a single math problem. Just memorized the regular multiple choice.

Definitely recommend this class. I learned a great deal and enjoy how much the papers put real conceptual meaning into Finance. Takes you beyond just memorizing formulas.

No writing in Ambrosias class, all math/accounting.
Weekly quizzes and a final.

The final is different than the quizzes so prepare for it.

tigerlsus, how are you able to see summer session classes?

I certainly cannot.

My track was Econ Shaugnessey, then Acct with Ambrosia, and now taking Fin with Choi.
The order doesnt matter that much. Just try to get those professors.

Acct and Fin have some overlap and they are about the same levels of difficulty. I am far from a math guy but I was able to work through it all with an A in econ and a B in Acct. Looks like Fin will be an A unless I get real complacent.

It may help to take the Gibbs ISDS class first to help with the excel in Econ. I was clueless with excel and still made the A in Econ.
With Econ, it may help to get on his message board (in moodle when class is active) and try to form a study group. someone else did this and I joined. helped a lot.
The Acct, Fin, and Econ classes start from a principles level. you would nearly be learning the same stuff in a lower level class. At least thats my experience coming from a Bachelors in Business from Auburn. I would watch some youtube videos and do some internet reading on the principles of these 3 areas in particular. This should give you a starting point. Id say that they're the classes a non-biz person would have the biggest learning curve with. I posted something about econ on the previous page. Every other class you should get A's in if you apply yourself. And judging how resourceful you were in finding this forum, you will be fine.

take Gibbs for ISDS 702 and you can double up if you want.

Even with the new professors for MKT 701, it seems James is probably still the best. Likely dont want to double this class with her.

If you take Kungu for MAMDM 701 you can easily double up. Do not take Heller for 701.

EDIT: Kungu may no longer be at LSUS.
And Heller may be your only option. Hes not that bad just some writing and studying thats a little excessive for Org Behavior.

Dont know much about 720.

Acct 701 is fine with Ambrosia just make sure you're good for the final. Everyone in my class got A's on the weekly quizzes then bombed the final. He then had to curve the shite out of it. He might have restructed the class all together after that debacle. (took last fall).

Jump start for Shaugnessy/Econ would just be to watch some videos on regression analysis, study Game Theory/prisoners dilemma. Supply and demand curves. Get comfortable with excel. Maybe looking up those types of problems on the interwebs. and pay for subscription to chegg.
