ISDS 705 with Gibbs is definitely pairable and you learn some nifty excel tricks along the way. FYI you may have to look up some workarounds if you own a Mac for a couple of the assignments
Can’t comment on the other class

I’ve heard to avoid White for ECON.
My recommendation is keep checking regularly close toward class start dates because students will drop classes and you’ll be able to slip into one you want.

ECON 705 - Shaughnessey
MADM 760 - Meeks (requires teamwork but totally worth it)
MKT 701 - Darrat

I agree. I enjoyed Meek’s 760 class!

Steer clear of 760 with Meeks if you are trying to avoid group work

MKT 701 with A Darrat involves posting weekly responses to discussion questions, replying to classmates, a few writing assignments and three proctored exams. The proctored exams are beasts...I’m convinced some of the material didn’t come from his slide decks which were supposed to include info direct from the textbook (not provided). But if you do well on the other stuff, you can walk away with an A or B.

Choi’s exams are closed book but you get to use a notecard with handwritten formulas.

My experience with the group project for Meeks MADM 760 was a good one. Meet once a week and record the discussion and submit the weekly group tasks. But if you want to avoid a group project then there’s other professors that don’t require one. Other assignments in Meeks call for a lot of writing and weekly open book quizzes (allowed to take multiple times for high score). No final exam but there is a final writing assignment.

MKT 701 with Kungu, are the exams open or closed book?

MADM 760 with Meeks is writing intense but straightforward and there’s a group project. Write, write and when you think you’ve written enough...write some more. The greater word count = higher grade
FIN 701 with Choi has been good so far. Do the practice problems and you’ll do fine on the exams.

Math and writing classes might be a good combo.

It’s an assignment that’s not worth a lot. I have a Mac and didn’t submit it and still pulled out an A without taking the final.

Just an FYI you’ll want to find workarounds for some of the excel spreadsheet assignments with a Mac. Google directions because they’ll be slightly different than Gibb’s videos for Microsoft comps.

Any insight as to the number of questions and whether they are all multiple choice for Choi FIN 701 exams?

Yeah I recall LSUS doesn’t use textbooks but was curious to see if it can help me through the course. Nervous about Finance
