How long it will take you will depend entirely on you. I am currently taking MKT 701 and MKT 705, both pretty intensive courses. I work long hours in a demanding job, two small kids and a pretty time-demanding wife, but I'm managing so far. Two extremely intense weeks with like 5 pages or so of writing and a test in EACH class, but the rest of the weeks are pretty manageable. I'm probably also spending 25-30% more time than I need to because I'm hoping to finish with a 4.0.
I wanted to finish as quickly as possible. You can do your research on these boards and find the easy classes to pair with the harder ones. That helps a lot. I'd also say that the first week of most classes have been pretty stressful and its generally gotten easier from there.
Make no mistake though, it WILL take sacrifices and dedication at times. My kids have a week break coming up and I won't be able to take them on a vacation because I'm too busy. I'm making it up to them with a weekend at Disneyland during the week between sessions. I'll have to take my laptop to Thailand with us for the kids' spring break, but I'll be studying since we don't get a spring break.
If you take it one class at a time, you really should have no problems. Even if you want to take it easy, there are a coupe of classes that should always be doubled up so if you can swing the scheduling right, you should be able to finish in a year and a half going slow.

I started in January and will be done in October. I took 2 classes per session. I read nearly every post since this forum started, so I planned my course pairings carefully. I have a wife, 2 young kids, and a job that doesn't require much overtime. I typically spend an hour or two per day on my assignments.

I started Oct 2017 and will finish this term.
I took the following distribution of courses - 2, 2, 1, 1, 2, 2. The 1 & 1 was based on course availability w/ the core requirements and classes filling up.
I was technical, but been in mgmt for the last 10 years. I work in budget management, technology strategy, and business operations. I work about 50 hrs a week, travel about 25%, have full custody of 3 kids, and am going through a high-conflict divorce. Tend to spend about 10-12 hrs per week on school.

Thanks for all of the information guys.
No wife or kids in my immediate future, so it sounds as if this could be very do-able in 12 months max. I already hold an MS in geology and geophysics, so I believe I just need to pay the fees and get this ball rolling January of 2019.

Mostly narrative problems or math problems? Any recommendations in how to prepare for this week’s assessment?

I agree with what everyone is saying. An email went out today that states starting on 1/1/19 they will offer the seven core classes during every session. That will help out a lot with scheduling classes around each other.

Do you know if we will be able to use any kind of notes on the final exam? I know it's proctored but I've had exams previously that were proctored and we could still use all the resources available.

@lsu2828
I personally took all 60 minutes to complete it. I was literally sweating. I felt it was "hard" in comparison to the past ones.
He did touch on the concepts in his video. Im strong with math type problems, but I kept second guessing myself.

Does anyone have the book (current or old) for MADM 760? It’s the only book I don’t have and would like to begin reading on it. Please email to megamanx268@gmail.com I would sure appreciate it and let me know if anyone needs any of the books as I have most. Thanks!

It took me all 60 minutes as well. The content covered this week I am super familiar with as I use it every day in my current job but still found the assessment confusing. he tests it much different then he teaches it. I have found that to be the case all along, the practice problems and his examples are formatted in a certain way, and the assessments are totally different on purpose, it’s like he wants to stump you even if you know the material. And if you missed one question on the assessment, you drop to a B. I am holding a low A in the class now, but it is much more difficult than I read about on this thread simply because there is no room for error with only nine questions per assessment.

@zachtiger
exactly the same feelings and situation I am in. Its such a tight window to hold an A. I missed one assessment question last week and I was super bummed.
Im glad Im not the only one who feels like the assessment question formats out of left field.
I did notice that the zoom session may have helped this week, but I had to take the test prior to it.

The zoom session was pretty pointless this week considering the more difficult questions on the assessment were totally different than what he gave examples of on the zoom and his slide deck. Also, he had like 3 or 4 examples of the LCM model in the slides and covered it in the zoom session, which would lead you to think it was important and would be on the assessment but it wasn’t even on there ?? Silliness

Do you know if we will be allowed to use notes on the final for ACCT 701 with Ambrosio? The final is conducted thru ProctorU.
