Hi all,
cheetos9, you said you'd double up FIN710. Who did you have it with? I'm registered with Hsieh, who has pretty low reviews on RMP.
I have 5 classes left for my finance concentration degree (FIN 710, 720, 730, MKT 701, and ISDS 705). I'm looking at doing 2 classes a session while working full time, but that's my first time doing so. Any input on Hsieh instead of Vines for the FIN classes? I'm also registered with James for MKT, and 705 for AP2, but that just says TBA.

ISDS702 is good course with lots of useful information, but the teacher is everything. I don't recognize the name of the current professor teaching it. I really enjoyed it with Dr. Hayati. He was a lot like Dr. Vines in that he made himself available for students to ask questions.
ISDS710 is new, and I'm not sure anyone has taken it yet.

I am set for MKT 701 with James in Spring 1, but I'm strongly considering the move to MADM 701 with Knotts and pushing MKT back to Summer 1 in case Knotts is not doing the summer session for MADM.
Is Knotts that much better than Williams? Is Williams a "must avoid"?
I've gathered from this forum that MKT and MADM are both similar busywork/writing classes, but I'm rethinking my current schedule now.

Thanks for the heads up everyone. I also switched to Tami Knotts for MADM 701. If she turns out to be worse than Williams I'll at least have some company in here to join me in the misery.

For those taking MADM701 in AP2; having just taken this class in Fall AP1 with Williams I can say that it wasn't a hard class, just a lot of writing (which equated to busy work IMO). The complaint I had about Williams was that she was not at all approachable, reachable or otherwise interested in her students' success. There were no lectures and the multiple choice questions looked to be textbook generated. She did no "teaching" whatsoever and am convinced an automated rule in Outlook would have served as a better student interface.

Hmm, anyone see their grades posted yet in MyLSUS? I was told FIN 730 would post today. Nothing yet.
