Hmm. A few interesting posts on the moodle forums about this exam. Another student posted about the time crunch:
I'm not sure if I'm the only one but I had difficulty finishing the exam within the time limit. Since the problems are word heavy and involve multiple parts, I am struggling really hard to read the entire problem, take it in, and solve them in 2 minutes or less and thus failed the exam even though I understand and know the concepts. I had to end up either guessing or leaving questions unanswered because time was up. Is there any way to extend the time length?
And yet the professor indicates more than 35% of the class are getting an "A"...
Not sure what to think. We'll just have to bite the bullet I suppose.

Ambrosio posted this morning that he will be putting up a video today.

Unfortunately, not everyone in the class follows the honor code either. I'm surprised he made the exam review-able immediately. Not good for those that could use a curve or extra credit.

97% on the Fin701 exam. I'm really happy about that. I had convinced myself I scored a "B."
Hopefully it's not too much harder. It feels like the first two tests were all "intro" chapters. Based on the hints in the last reading guide, I'm assuming we're going to take more of a deep dive into the ins and outs now.

I also wonder why we have so much more time for these next 2 exams. Maybe the material is tougher?

98 :) I'll take it!
I hope the next two exams aren't much more difficult, these last two modules were mentally draining!

ACCT: New video is up for those interested.

I find it hard to believe 35% of people are getting an A on that exam. I admittedly don't put forth as much time studying as I should since I'm in another course, but still. The time allotted simply wasn't enough

IMHO I would take that with a grain of salt.
He stated that 10 people took the test so about 3-4 people got A and that the class has 400 enrolled.
Let's see what the numbers are after everyone has taken the eam.

I believe he said that 10 people took the test the day it opened. More have taken it by now if I had to guess

I wonder if the Final is going to be the same set up or if he is going to have like a 60/40 split of the material since he said that the Final is composed of all material?

Brent, maybe we could do a study session for the Final.

I have a feeling less people will be getting an A on the ACCT test than originally reported. I haven't seen the video he posted but if it offers any tips or advice that wouldn't seem fair to people who have already taken the exam. I also hate being the guinea pig for a class like ACCT, especially because the Moodle format is a terrible way to learn the material.
And I thought this class was going to be an easy A.

The video just says that he didn't allocate enough time but because some took it early, he can't adjust it. He'll monitor the grades and offer some opportunities to bring it up that is fair to all. Final exam will increase to 60 minutes but should be easier than mid term.

I'm surprised be put up the video explaining the answers to the mid term before everyone was finished.

He didn't put up a video explaining answers to the midterm

At the end of the module he has a video with explanations to the mid term questions.
It is view able after the exam but I figured he would wait until everyone was done.

I guess I'm wrong about the Final because in the video he says it's on not as much material as the midterm.

Yeah, I completely forgot about him posting those. Sorry about that

Y'all saw Ambrosio posted a thread about the Honor Code? I wonder if he posted that on suspicion or what? Seems like the way this class format is completely different from what he was use to the last time he taught it.
