Tilman has too much money involved to lose his arse.
How many shares does he have for his $305 mil investment? Not many because he bought at like $15 right?
I’m not convinced he’s gonna lose his arse here. He used shell companies to buy it with likely money that he made in other acquisitions. In other words he is playing with house money.
If those shares are now worth say only $40 mil, how much is he really going to put into the company?

He has about $700M (probably more) invested. I don’t care how much house money you have, he’s not going to lose 3/4ths of a billion

My point is that its not how much he has invested, its how much it is worth now.
If he invested $700 million but its now worth $100 million, he's not going to spend $500 million to maybe get back $100 million.
There's a point where you cut bait and count your losses. You are assuming we aren't there. I'm saying I'm not sure that assumption is right.
Maybe he sells and gets back $350 mil.

What is WTRH worth if the company is broken up and sold for its contracts, software, etc?
Because as far as the company righting its ship, I'm not sure that's the play anymore? I'm not sure it can compete long term. I think at some point you have to analyse what it could be sold for now.

Not sure there is anything there that is special in regards to the software.
I was hoping one of the bigger food delivery services would by them to get access to the smaller cities. Scooping them up at a low cost may be easier then staring from ground up.

Well he lost about half of whatever he had left today.

If he does, that's got to be a hard pill to swallow. I am banking on his selling, but just earlier this week (before the resignations), there was a prediction of Waitr to hit $7/share in the next year.
Waitr went public at ~$10/share; I don't see Tilman selling it for less than $5/share. But what do I know, the company could also go bankrupt.

I thought you were getting back in at $0.75?

This is nuts. My average is at $.83, but damn... may as well wait it out. No pun intended.

I want to see where it bottoms out first. As long as it keeps dropping, I'll wait. If it gets back up to 0.65 (while it's at 0.599 right now), I'll buy then. I don't want to buy if it drops another 10c

There’ll be a bounce. Always is one.

Anyone purchase WTRH between 5-17-19 and 8-8-19?

How much does Fertitta take a hit over this? People are throwing around he had $1 bil invested in WTRH but that was long ago right? I mean is it now down to $50 mil?
Well, he spent $305M buying Waitr, another $321M buying Bite Squad, then bought 1M shares (275k @ $1.437, 450k @ $1.429 and 275k @ $1.41). This is all just public knowledge.
What's interesting is the same day Tilman bought all those shares(Aug. 20th), Joseph Stough (now former President) also bought 45k shares. Stough "resigned" Sept 13th. 24 days after he spends $66k, he "stepped down"
Saying all of this, like I said, I'll buy more if it drops to a certain level. Tilman has too much money involved to lose his arse.
This is WRONG. he did not spend $305M buying Waitr.
His investment vehicle, Landcadia Holdings, (google what a SPAC is) used other people's money to buy Waitr. Tilmann got his shares for a fraction of what they were wort at the time of the merger. His original Investment to start Lancadia was only ~$7 million for which he received 7.9 million shares.

Please tell me where you are getting this number. It is factually incorrect.

Even if it's not all his money, he still has a sizable (to me) amount in. I don't think a $600+M or more loss on a company involving his name would be a good look.

So you are admitting that you have no idea what you are talking about and that you are spewing factually incorrect statements?
