Do the other women all encircle the victim and laugh and point or do they just individually pass by and laugh to draw out the torture?

Kors is dying because it is too mainstream now. It lost being special and different. My girlfriend is in the fashion industry and I hear about the random trends all the time.

Tory Burch is the best up and coming brand and is expensive enough to stay unique.

You should question your entire existence for even knowing people like that. Unbelievable

Yea I am calling b.s. on this. Let's just say it isn't the "in" brand right now.

Ok. I'm lying on a message board because I really care whether or not you or anyone invests in KORS.

Coach is a great example. I thought it was a luxury brand and my girlfriend laughed... Evidently it has become very mainstream.

TB is a relatively young brand... Only 11 years old and hit a $1B in sales in the last year. They have the ideal target demo... Young and middle aged working women and wealthy moms. Young women can only afford a pair of the famous flats but can easily expand into other categories like clothing and watches as more disposable income is available.

This is just my perception based on what I have heard and what I see every time I go in the stores or the TB section of Nordstrom or Niemans.

It's pretty amazing that Ralph Lauren has been able to maintain his brand for so long.

Apparently the Tory Birch flats are very comfortable, in addition to being fashionable (according to the wife), so they are like the "best in breed" of women's flat shoes, and the accessories (purses etc) branched off from that. Don't think there is anything that MK does that they are known for to do better than others.

KORS is done and you can stick a fork in it. The Stock is only good for a trade. KORS shoppers are migrating to Tory Burch. These brands are aspirational brands, not luxury.

Dooney and Bourke, then Coach, then Kors all became so saturated that women's taste drifted on to the next up and coming brand. If the Tory Burch line becomes saturated, she will suffer the same fate.

I have a couple of (genuine) Gucci bags I bought in Hong Kong in 1984 that I still use. Timeless bags.

Today, I really like the look of Aspinal of London, myself.

I don't see Tory Burch going the way of Kors. As long as they don't start trying to sell to the masses ie in Talbots, Marshalls, etc, and they keep it exclusive, it will be fine.

If they make that mistake ala Kors, then they're absolutely retarded.

TB needs to keep its prices up. MK was never a super expensive brand from my understanding and was fortunate to catch a couple trends (watches, hand bags)...it is now on the backside of those trends and challenged to stay relevant.

All it takes is some celebrity to be seen with, or say something about a brand and next thing you know it's the hot thing and everything else is so "last year".

Is anyone really going to put their money into something so fickle?

Anyone with a semi trendy gf or wife should know not to invest long term into women's fashion.

Why anyone would invest long term into any type of women's fashion is beyond me. Women are too fickle.

This. I will never invest in a fashion brand, not a luxury brand. Fashion trends change so quickly, I won't bother trying to keep up.
