stocks only go up

If stocks don’t shoot up after that injection of capital, I will say that makes me nervous about the true values of those equities when normalizing for inflationary effects
but I don’t personally think that’s a real concern. I think the stock market will positively reflect the addition of more capital.

In early 2020 all the talking heads were in agreement that we were heading into a significant recession and would see a pullback.
Instead we had the economy shut down and it’s barely getting going save big business and tech.
The results are record highs in the equity markets due to jillions of dollars flooding the system.
So will it correct? Eventually there will be a massive correction. But I don’t see an end to the money printers and the reality is that liquidity could see the indexes double before the correction

Way too much liquidity out there right now.
Markets always correct eventually, trying to time it is a bad move.
But with the liquidity out there at the moment it won’t be anytime soon

Maybe so. Maybe not.

Absolutely. It will either be tomorrow or 10 years from now. Possibly somewhere in between.

That's what I suspect is going to happen. How long it will take for the stimulus effects to wear off is the question. Two weeks? A month? A quarter?
I'll fatten up my ready cash for a while for any bargains that could appear.

Just a short term pullback on cannabis and overrun small cap stocks
Posted on 2/11/21 at 1:41 pm to boogiewoogie1978
Most opinions I've heard don't think it will happen until at least Q4 this year.

The fear of a $15 dollar minimum wage as part of the stimulus is what is cratering the markets right now. There will be tens of millions of people who will lose their jobs thus stifling demand in the broader markets.
