My celebrations usually end by hitting the snooze button and a healthy dose of reality.

But hopefully will get there soon

I tell my wife who proceeds to give me a “that’s nice” and goes back to head in the sky.

I’d like to say I get tanked but unfortunately I can’t anymore.

I buy a bottle of wine. Then, I open up my spreadsheet and plot out my next financial milestone - reflecting on that glorious, future time when I won't have to do this fricking shite anymore.

Congrats, btw, on your milestone.

Just depends for me. For an income based milestone that I hit when I was 29, I bought myself a watch (nothing too crazy). For most other financial milestones I don't do anything

Just hit a big one last week and we happened to book a last minute all inclusive trip to Greece. Trip was because kids are about to go back to school and we found a good deal from Germany that beat taking a road trip to France. Now I'm going to call it a celebration and remember this milestone better thanks! Arrived this evening, sitting at hotel bar now. These free drinks are pretty bad I should probably splurge on a celebratory bottle of scotch as well. (Previous milestones did nothing very anti-climatic)

Nice dinner or quick getaway then this. I recently changed it to making sure I hit the financial milestones by certain ages.
