Sometimes I think you are just trolling, then you post something like this and prove you idiocy.

AMC does not know how may shares I own! I do not buy from them! I could buy 1000, then sell 500, and buy 2000 more. They announce the cutoff day for ownership, to be able to vote. THE BROKERS report the information to the company, including demographics and amount of shares held. THAT IS HOW THEY KNOW HOW MANY VOTES I GET!

So Genius, what happens when they tally up all the numbers and owners who get votes, and it's more than what has been issued???

So based off the share count, there is no “bombshell” coming?

Now its just how long can retail keep this thing pumped?

I've been sitting on a modest GME investment for the past month, just on the thesis that the conspiracy theorists would drive it higher leading up to the annual meeting.

Will probably dump it as soon as it starts to trend down today or tomorrow. The "synthetic shares" argument has been about as debunked as it can at this point, not sure how much longer people like goose and squatch will keep believing.

Help me out on the synthetic shares argument.... is the position that these shares were just recently created? I mean there are at minimal annual votes that occur - wouldnt this pop up then?

Not necessarily. You have to think about the goal of the institution that created the synthetic. The whole point is to get the price down. They end up buying from lots of people willing to sell at a loss. They cover before being exposed.

Here's where the fun starts. What happens when the vast majority of shareholders refuse to sell? The hedges lose tons of money, but even worse, they get caught it a legal quagmire.

The absolute nightmare for them would be, more shares being held, than officially exist!

Go back and read my posts with the simple math. AMC knows how many individual shareholders there are. They know how many shares have been issued by them, into the market. For the numbers to be correct and no synthetic shares exist, the average held by retail is about 150 shares. That number alone appears to be extremely low.

But people are buying and selling. The volume is huge. I’m not sure I understand how that all works...

That's what I don't get...certain people keep pushing the "apes aren't selling, we're hodling strong!!!", and I wonder, do they not have access to the same data and charts that we do?

Explain how inflow is greater than outflow and the price drops.

Nevermind......I'd have better luck getting my dog to explain the Pythagorean theorem.

Can you and Chitown just meet in person and either fight or frick already? At this point I don’t care which you choose, just get it out of your system and move on.

You are wrong and you are the idiot for just assuming that, without even seeing the examples posted in this thread and without even considering what inflow and outflow on webull actually details.

Ok so bottom line is what are we doing here? I’m in AMC and I let the first bump to 70+ pass by and it has yet to even sniff that level since. Am I getting out while I’m still in the money or are we still rockets? What’s going on?

You could always follow Chitstain's example and buy $7.50 puts.

Take your profits if you are scared. As for me, I'm it it for the squeeze!

Hypothetical, but what if AMC's Adam Aron announces the share count after the bell, and it's significantly higher than issued shares? A lot of people can't trade after hours.

I think we are all going to find out soon. Just so you know, I almost always lose money or am left with a bag on plays like this. Next week I will probably be saying, “I wish I sold anywhere over 40.” In till the end
