I know talking about gas prices is one of the favorite pastimes of Americans, but out of curiosity, what do people consider "good" gas prices? It seems that no matter what the price is, either consumers or gas baws are bitching. Is there an equilibrium somewhere?

Something other than a 15% swing up in two weeks’ time? ?????

You could have simply said that you don’t have an answer. It’s ok not to have given something much thought before.

Don't wanna rain on your parade, if your are in the Baton Rouge area...Google gas prices for Baton Rouge 1/2/23..lowest is 2.59 highest is 2.79. That is the top ten lists lowest to highest.

I posted a couple weeks ago on the OT that the shell near my crib was 2.40/gal and several people said that was WAY too high and that I’ve been brainwashed to think sub 2.50 gas was cheap lmao.
I mean it’s not the least amount I’ve ever paid for gas, but considering the dollar is worth a lot less now than it used to be, I’d say 2.40 was pretty damn good lol.
Also no one in that thread would answer what price the gas SHOULD have cost. Just that 2.40 was obviously too expensive.

Sub $2.75 for unleaded and less then $4 for diesel. Paying $5 a gallon for diesel is criminal
