After 2022 these threads never seem to end well for these guys.
Oh my god i sold everything . market dropped a 1,000. They forget that 1000 drop usually puts it where it was a month earlier.

I panicked during the covid drop, cost myself tens of thousands. I will never ever panic again.

It's hard not to think almost all of this is based on wanting to be right about some political thing rather than just looking at markets straight up.

Friend,

The more crossover on this board with Politics Talk, the less it becomes a sound place for investing advice. That group has called for three or four recessions to depressions in the last 3.5 years while cheering for them the entire time. Meanwhile, the markets are up on average 32% in that time frame.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

Sadly, it seems to be what the people want.

Would agree friend. So much of the PT is an echo chamber. Confirmational bias in action and then it's a massive conspiracy when there is a different outcome from what the hive believes.
BTW, post more of your thoughts on the OT. I for one enjoy the read.

It's not just this board. This whole fricking site wants to interject their political beliefs into every thread. You can't even participate in a college football game thread without some random idiot inserting politics into it. And god forbid you don't fall in line lockstep with their beliefs.

Rant over.

Mods should anchor this so people don't call up the money board and thinking the subject line is current news.

The politards have infested every board on the site. You cant even discuss a menu item on the food and drink board without someone ranting about their latest Q conspiracy theory.

I’ve voted republican my entire life but people around here think I’m a liberal because I don’t believe the economic sky is falling.

Let's not pretend this behavior is isolated to this board. Every aspect of life is politicized nowadays. You literally can't leave your house, turn on your tv, or unlock your phone, without some right or left interjection. It's gross.

It's ironic, because while every aspect of everything is gas lit politically, there's almost 0 actual political discourse between opposing ideas. Thanks zuck.
