DJIA to 330,000? S&P to 43,000?

Is that possible over the next 30 years?

Is this a real question?

Maybe, but a trip to the grocery store will cost $1,500.

Why would it not be a real question?

Inflation proves you correct

I ask this because 30 years ago, both the DJIA and S&P 500 were 10x less than they currently are today. In order to recreate average market returns over the next 30 years that people rely on for their future, they would need to reach that level. Seems wild to me.

That’s a bit aggressive. But not too far off. 7.2% average return would have the Dow close to 272k

Short answer, yes, it is possible.

That would be a 7.87% annual return based on present value of 33,959. Possible for sure.
The Dow will hit 1,000,000 around 50 years from now if the world keeps humming along as usual. Maybe sooner.
