Just noticed half a million after hours. Man I hope there's good news that isn't a buyout this soon/low

Still watching this, but it is more out of habit at this stage.
They still need to make the logo green and call it "green lithium" because it is as green as it gets.

Standard Lithium and Equinor Form Partnership to Develop South West Arkansas and East Texas Lithium Projects
“Equinor Commits to Contribute up to a US$160 million Gross Investment for a 45% interest in two special purpose entities with SLI to develop a sustainable lithium business in the United States”

45% interest in SWA and East TX. That’s strong. Hopefully Equinor comes out of this with a hell of an investment.

That's good news. I've never heard of equinor before...

Edit: Google gave me bad data on Equinor’s annual revenues. Their market cap is around 85B
(Edit: The following is also wrong. Keep reading the thread) I don't know what I was expecting, but 45% ownership on 2 projects where you've paid $160M toward like $3B capex needed seems like a steal. Am I off base?

Of course I’m insanely busy, so just a quick skimming of this, but am I reading it right that we are getting these initial payments as milestones are reached totaling $170 mil. And the entirety of the capital on these projects will be split 45/55 between equinor and SLI?
So basically Equinor is paying $170mil cash to kick these projects off, then splitting the capital with SLI after? A $3B SWA project, Equinor would pay a total of $1.35 billion?

Yeah looks like EQNR has an $85 billion market cap, so that's not a small company. Says they're a multinational energy company. Also caught this snippet in there:
Should ease some concerns that they'll have enough cash for a while. Maybe SLI can slow down on the dilution.

This investment includes a US$30 million cash payment to Standard Lithium at closing

Whoops, I shouldn't have been posting so fresh off a night's sleep lol
So Equinor will be providing these upfront payments and then they will share the remainder of capex, right? Isn't that what pro-rata means in this line for example
"Equinor to solely fund the first US$40 million of development costs at SWA upon completing the Transaction, after which all additional capital expenditures would be funded on a pro-rata basis"

That’s what I took from it. Equinor pays 100% of the first $40M in capex, then 45% of all remaining capex. This is a huge investment.

Good buying opportunity here. Market is reading this very wrong.
It stops dilution. Massive derisking. The deal is for much more than $170 million. Huge investor.

I’d imagine that today’s announcement will excite institutional investors whose actions will then excite retail (many of whom probably believe that someone just bought half of SLI for $160M lol)
FeMike does the fact that they have announced this partnership before a Phase 1A partnership affect your prediction on if Phase 1A still happens or not?

Yeah I went ahead and bought another 300 shares on that dip. Hoping that was typical market frickery with shorts trying to hold it down so they can get out or a "sell the news" type of dip.
But of course one of the certainties in life is SLI releasing PR on a red market day. Indexes are bouncing back though, so hopefully SLI starts building some steam.
ETA: Rocket preparing for liftoff?..... frick it, bought another 250
LFG. Almost to 6k shares now.
