I think it’s in the way of possible catalysts-partnerships, financing, construction more than it being a catalyst itself

Does anyone have any insight regarding whether the commission could do something screw SLI like landing on a 10% royalty rate? Smack, any word on the street about that? I’m sure XOM would be able to handle that, but it could squeeze out the smaller players like SLI who are more reliant on the economics to make their business viable

XOM has offered landowners 10% or what the commission decides, whichever is higher. To my knowledge, no commissioner had seen this in writing. That's why they asked to see contracts that had been paid and not "promised". I believe they'll settle on a lower price. They are frustrated they no one will give them a price of production, but as I told 2 of them, they may not know exactly. This is not just SLI. This is XOM, SLI and Albermarle. They understand that you can't kill the development of the resource with royalties. They want SLI to succeed. We all think XOM is trying to hurt the others with their "promises". I'm thinking 6% high end. I'd be surprised at any higher and gave quite a long dissertation on why it should be lower and perhaps revisited every 5 years until the industry matures.

Just waiting for the royalty hearing on 4/23 to pass, myself
Same. Just checking the price on occasion to make spot buys and start building the position back up as we get closer to end of April.
Every indication is that nothing can happen prior to the hearing so not much anyone can do or find out til then.

The one thing I thought might happen before the royalty is grants, but the earnings call indicates that we shouldn't expect anything significant there until well after the April royalty hearing (if they get grants at all, of course)
So I'm not expecting anything at all until the April hearing now.

First positive article I’ve seen on SLI in a long time.
Standard Lithium (SLI)
Lithium element on the periodic table. Top-rated lithium stocks

The big correction in lithium has translated into deep undervaluation for lithium stocks. I believe that this is a good opportunity to accumulate for the long term. Standard Lithium (NYSE:SLI) looks attractive among penny stocks with a correction of almost 70% in the last 12 months.
It’s worth noting that the Company currently commands a market valuation of $210 million. As compared to this, Standard Lithium’s key asset (South West Arkansas Project) has an after-tax net present value of $4.5 billion. If other assets are included, the NPV will be more than $5 billion. This puts into perspective the extent of undervaluation.
Of course, these assets make sense only when commercialized. I am optimistic on the financing front once the trend for lithium reverses. The Company has already advanced the South West Arkansas Project with the selection of selection of Ausenco Engineering Canada for definitive feasibility study and front-end engineering and design services.
