This is an interesting update on Galvanic Energy. IBAT offered a no strings test run of brine through their DLE process. Does anyone know SLI's lithium recovery rate and how it compares to IBAT's 69% average noted in the article?
Reading the article- IBAT has only processed 50,000 gallons that was shipped in via tanker truck. that is about 5-6 trucks. SLI was at that stage in 2019 or so.
SLI commercial test plant ran a continual brine flow of 50 gallons a minute so it reached 50,000 gallons in 17 hrs. SLI ran the test plant for months i believe.
Don think Galvanic is much to worry about in this race, but they do own 120K acres in leases in the Smackover region.

Fresh news from the alpha dog. Interesting that lithium is not mentioned with their bromine facilities in AR (although it does mentioned 'green energy' once).

Albemarle investing up to $540 million to expand bromine facilities in Arkansas

Albemarle Corporation (Charlotte, N.C.) announced planned investments of up to $540 million to expand and modernize two bromine facilities in Magnolia, Arkansas, designed to meet growing demand for fire safety and specialty products in several industries, including technology, safety, transportation, and green energy. The planned investments have begun and will continue through 2027.
quote:
As the largest corporate employer in Columbia County, Albemarle’s two facilities in Magnolia currently employ more than 400 Albemarle employees and 200 contractors. Albemarle produces several high-demand bromine and derivative products at the site used in fire safety, chemical synthesis, oil and gas well drilling and completion fluids, mercury control, paper manufacturing, water purification, beef and poultry processing, and various other industrial applications.

One of my worries is that a DLE outfit that only does 63% recovery gets to the ball before SLI's 90%~ does, and the big boys wind up dancing with who brought them.

I was searching for info on Galvanic Energy because of the mention in a Magnolia Reporter article about SLI looking into a significant resource expansion project west of the South-West Arkansas Project.
I was hoping SLI would be helping Galvanic Energy process their resource. That could still be in the cards as the IBAT test was very limited with no strings attached.

The good news is that the big boys are taking note of the SLI's DLE and coming to join the party. The bad news is that SLI could be beaten to the punch bowl as the party starts due to ploddingly slow progress. I hope that their extreme caution is a wise move and not academic fiddling around.
I'm encouraged by SLI's reported recovery rate, the indication that their return water can be made nearly potable. This should be the darling of the Greens, but PR has not penetrated the case.

Another bother for me is that SLI was pitched as a Tech company and not a miner and that other Co's would license their tech, it's been awhile since I've read that that is still the case. I remember reading market caps that SLI could experience as a Tech outfit Vs as a miner.

Yes I believe Lanxess threw a monkey wrench in SLI's "Tech Company" plans when Lanxess appeared to pull back from committing to the build.
I'm glad Koch stepped in with a substantial investment and expertise in case Lanxess decides against participating in the construction.

SLI's stock price is extremely important to any future need to raise a bunch of cash with new stock issued. Raising cash with a $4 stock would be butt ugly. Raising cash with >$20 stock would be a lot sweeter.

They definitely don't have cash problems or even seem close to it, so the price should not really be important to them at this time. (If they know their technology works) If they were constantly concerned about where their shareprice is at this point and prioritizing constantly putting a floor under it, and they are sitting on this much cash, that would be a red flag for me honestly.
If their shite works, they can easily pop the stock when needed.

PR wise, their proofs of concept are just long in the tooth. PR has failed to reiterate the proofs already done.

im going to give them shite on their next FB post. Im convinced I was the reason they posted the last update

Goldman Sachs cannon-balling the lithium market, again, because one Chinese downstream producer cut production targets.
They've got an agenda, that's for sure.

It's slipping again today. How low will it go until a solid catalyst?

I think they have to have major news at this point which would be breaking ground for facility or ability to sell out of the pilot/demo facility. Going to trade shows and pumping up lithium are non starters right now. Boots on the ground need to be moving.

A new and improved proof of concept to refresh those from a couple of years ago would help.
