After a hot morning the rest of the sector is dropping hard. Interesting to see if SLI follows suit here. If they hold these morning gains, could be a strong sign of news coming.
But I agree, I’m just not seeing this move as sustainable right now. They’d have to knock this next PR out the park. Maybe they’ll have a lease agreement settled for the plant and begin clearing it in anticipation of breaking ground or something.
I dunno. Big movements make me speculate a lot. I’m usually wrong; hence, typing this from my office and not the lake house.

I set a stop limit on some of my shares this morning. Also have CC's on about half of my shares at 7.50 and 10.00 in August and October. Hope they do not execute but my cost basis is 5.30 per share so it would be a good profit.

High volume up day with over 2 million shares traded. When it hits 7 again soon, it will finally, hopefully break resistance.

Yup, really strong support all day with good accumulation above $6.50.
I dunno, Tuesday Newsday? Feels like it.

I hope, but it seems they tend to spread news out. With the conference this week, I would think it would be 2-3 weeks minimum for news but really no idea. I’m not sure what type of news they could release at this point unless they restriped the parking lot.

No idea about news but the people on site are convinced it's the real deal. Nice bump to my net worth over the last month. My SLI money starting to make me more SLI money.

Hey I’m convinced too. I’m strictly hold here. There’s always something that could derail it which is why I’m not all in, but I don’t see many long term risks.
My main concern is probably maintaining short term price. The next “really big” news is likely not until 2023 which can really put pressure on your price. I know FEED award is coming but I just don’t know what that’s gonna do, if anything, to support the price.
The concern with short term price is mostly if they have to raise money. I can live with the price being low until they have revenue, but I don’t want my potential return to get wrecked by dilution. If they have to raise another $200M to get through Phase 1 I’d much rather that take 20 million shares at $10 than 50 million at $4. That’s like 30% dilution which ain’t fun.
But even with that high dilution, a $5 billion market cap in the next 3 years is not a pipe dream and that would be a share price of $20 worst case. 300% from todays close in 3 years? Sign me up.

I'm hoping for some gubmint green energy money to help avoid further dilution. Unfortunately, the best don't always get it, but Koch is very influential.

I definitely neglected to mention that possibility which if they announce some Biden Green Funds in the next couple months could seriously boost us up. That’s definitely the wild card PR.

Crummy day today when the rest of the sector is up big.
PLL absolutely ripping it. That guy that said to short PLL at $45 was an idiot.

Is this sector rally really because Elon Musk said lithium is good yesterday? Fricken unreal
ETA: I wonder who has their foot on our head holding us under 6.60, and why..

I dunno but it's really frustrating that SLI is red on a day like today. Everyone else is going rip shite riot, Piedmont up damn 16%. This ticker is drunk. It makes no sense whatsoever.
Posted on 8/12/22 at 1:07 pm to Fe_Mike
So insider information that Piedmont is getting some government cheese or something?

The 30 day chart for SLI looks awesome!

Mike, Although my average purchase price is $5.97/share I do not think that three years is too long to wait so I'm ridin' with you.
I have waited a long time, worked hard, and seemingly the line was often barely moving. I have suffered from long layoffs and exposure to dangerous chemicals at the workplace for over thirty years, and received a reduced pension and medical benefits. Given size of my investment, the worst case scenario of $20 per share my version of the American Dream of prosperity will be a worthwhile reward.

Apparently Koch reduced their position in SLI last quarter?
LINK
Standard Lithium Corp
KOCH INDUSTRIES INC reduced their investment in AMEX:SLI by 13,480,083 shares. The trade had a 4.16% impact on the equity portfolio. During the quarter, the stock traded for an average price of $5.96.

That is interesting for sure.

???? I am calling BS on that article. The 13-Fs I see floating around do not suggest that.
13-F
That number is SLI's holdings - a 13-F doesnt show sales and acquisitions. It reports at a point in time.
If you look at previous 13-Fs you will see the 13 million shares is 100% of their holdings.
Articles like that piss me off.

Maybe get a dip to buy off shite article then
Posted on 8/13/22 at 4:20 pm to igoringa
Yeh, that 13 million shares is the entirety of the original position. They didn't sell.
That looks like one of those automated articles that just pulls data and fills in blanks on a template. Clearly, it pulled from the wrong excel field.
