I bought a single, solitary share of SLI today. Up to 784 total.

Fun fact: one share of SLI is cheaper than a double quarter pounder combo at McDs

Based on what? I am genuinely asking.
Honestly I'm not sophisticated. (1) each major dip has been met by a swift (but temporary) recovery. I figure I can swing trade this in the short term. Even if next week it drops another 10%, my guess is over the next 24 hours it gains again above 6 - as I write this, this purchase is up 6% (2) Koch isn't interested in losing money.

That's the most reassuring factor that the JV is going to happen.

Shifty timing, any momentum from this is going to be knocked in the head by the overall market tanking.

Sounds like they now have a buyer lined up for any lithium produced. They have the last step in the process ironed out, now they just need to start the the first 99 steps.
From what I have read, there isn't much of a use for the lithium in the US as of now. Most lithium is used overseas and then shipped as final product back to US. I do think this is a good move until the lithium can be used in the US. This dynamic may change by the time SLI is in production in 2+ years

A bunch of battery plants will come on line in next few years on this side of ocean

Does Koch have the strength to just take complete control of SLI? Something makes me think lanxess standing in the way is the only thing preventing thus from happening.

Was wondering the reason all my stocks are down premarket but SLI is up bigly
