How many times do you donate per month?
I donate twice a week. So, 8-9 times a month depending on the calendar. Easiest money I've ever made in my life and truly the highlight of my week. Just laid back with no one bugging me and no place to be. Surf my phone or stare at the ceiling and just think.
Still very bullish on SLI here. This is merely a speed bump to better things, as I believe in the technology.
This will surely shake out any paper hands and probably some formerly diamond hands, however.

It looks like I will be adding 200 shares at 7.50 on Friday. Have 2 puts that I bought a while back at a price I was willing to pay for long term. Added 5.00 puts for Feb that I hope do not fill but willing to pay that price for more. I also have CC's from $10 to $15 that expire Friday. I am in for the long term but like the premium the CC's give me.

How long does it take per visit? Is it pretty painful?

GeneralLee, it's not painful at all to most people.
As Supadave mentioned, the 1st visit is by far the longest and might take 2-2.5 hours, but it's truly gravy. The big difference being that you usually need to make an appointment for it, then fill out paperwork, read some material, etc. Also, a RN or possibly a doctor on staff will give you a VERY cursory onceover. No removal of clothes or anything. Just blood pressure, pulse, reflexes, general healthcare questions, blah blah blah. They will also look at your veins to make sure they are easily accessible.
Once you're cleared through all that, they will give you a lil prick (cue the peanut gallery) to check your iron and protein levels. All of this s honestly pretty smooth and easy at my local donating place.
Anyway, on subsequent visits, you walk in the door, put your head to a temp checker, it immediately flags you as "pass" or "fail". Then you go to a small cubicle's touchscreen. Fill out the questionnaire. Takes maybe 5 min.
Then they send you back to a worker for that visit's blood pressure/weight/2nd temp check/protein/iron go-thru. Maaaaybe 5 min there.
Once you pass that, then you are sent to actually donate in a different room.
They will prep and stick you. After that, you're just watching TV, listening to the radio, surfing your phone, or in contemplation for 40-50 min while the plasma is being taken from you.
Last night took me an hour and 15 min from walking in to walking out. The process all becomes pretty automatic to you after a while.
Oh, this place debits money to a dedicated VISA card within a few minutes of you leaving. You can use the card at most places or find a dedicated ATM that will allow you to get cash. They have a nice app and website to monitor your funds or find your closest participating ATM.
With that said, I'm helping people and getting paid for a small amount of my time. Wish I had done this 20 years ago and I could have bought a small house.
Oh yea, go SLI!

Good one. I must admit that I find his optimism inspiring.
