The support around 8 for SLI is pretty strong. I keep waiting for sub $8 to make another buy like 5% higher than koch. Might not get that chance; market wide, looks like the rotation out of spec tech and big multiples is temporarily on hold. CRWD is leading the way for my portfolio this morning, that stock has been absolutely devastated last couple of months.
I'm really loving the floor this stock has here. The chart is instilling confidence. I'm very happy with all the testing that's been done over the last couple of weeks, makes it easier to hold this name without watching it paranoid. If you looked at this stock, story, and fundamentals and looked at the overall trend in the market over the last month since fed meeting in DEC, you'd think we'd be in the 6's. Still hasn't tested the koch level which is surprising to me.
Also another note: Institutional ownership is now 20%, last time I looked at this in sept I'm guessing it was 14%. Diamond hands are getting pushed out, which is great for long term stability.

PR just out that they are presenting at a BofA conference on January 10th. Presentation will be available for replay for everyone it said. Will be very curious to see what tidbits we can glean from that presentation, like an updated timeline to commercial production??

We can hope. Koch might have what it takes to get it going more quickly.
I think if they were turning the material extracted from the demo project into battery grade lithium it would work wonders for the market.

Just saw a segment on Lithium Americas on CNBC
Later this year they're going to have a facility in NV
3.6B market cap (vs SLI at $1.4B), haven't produced an ounce yet
Acknowledged they have the capital for Argentina and asset in NV, which will be a partnership
Did not say yes or no on whether they are in talks with Tesla because of NDAs, but said "lots of conversations ongoing with lots of people"
Talked about some in the space and showed a chart with Lithium Americas, Livent, Albemarle, Piedmont, Sociedad...NO frickING MENTION OF SLI

I wonder why the demo plant is not turning the lithium they are extracting into final product. Even 100 to 150 tons of product would look really good for the stock.
Permits.
They can’t sell the lithium yet. So converting it would be sunk costs. They’d have to pay to convert it, then they would have to pay to dispose of it because it can no longer be reinjected.
The hydraulic balance and environmental impact studies/reports are required before they can sell. In talking with Mintak it seems these are formalities because of how green this process is, but it is still extensive documentation and quality analyses.

Thanks. If it is only a formality it would be good to get it done.
If they were producing battery grade lithium as they did for the proofs of concept, it would be a major boost.

When was the last time you talked to Mintak?

Completely random but I just got a notification that Standard Lithium just started following Tesla on Twitter.
Surprised they haven't been before. Could be nothing, could be something?

I appreciate the intel. I only have 600 shares at this time but can get a much larger position when an IRA gets transferred. I am looking for the best time to purchase and hold for at least two to three years.

Bump because I don't like seeing this thread off the first page.

If you saw the BO piece and the Koch news a while back then you did not miss anything in the last five months.
