Merry Christmas to you General and all contributors. I am new to this type of investing and have only 520 SLI shares but for sure I'm riding with y'all. Thanks for sharing. I expect to get a much greater position next month after breaking free from an average performing IRA.
I am reading all the messages and am up to page 30.
Smack, I just read about your loss of your dad. I think we had a similar relation ship with our fathers. Mine passed shortly after I enlisted in the Marine Corps.

I got an email for a January meeting to vote on 5 proposals. It was to have 6 directors, then vote for or against each director, vote for an audit company, vote for stock option package, vote for incentive deals
Well, I hope that you’re going to vote!
These things are really, REALLY important. For the past month and a half, I’ve been getting phone calls from various phone numbers (after I block the previous originating numbers) telling me that I need to contact them to vote for various Blackrock fund initiatives. It’s VERY important. Since it’s been going on this long, I guess Blackrock has put the brakes on everything til I vote… even though I’ve never owned a single share of a Blackrock fund in my life AFAIK.

Do you own any iShares (Blackrock)? Look at your 401k too.

Check the original thread as well. If you search Tigerdroppings STLHF, should be able to find it. Lot on info in there.

Looking back, I’m very surprised SLI went up so much this year. I think the bulk of that can be attributed to the lithium bull market that also made other lithium miners like LAC, LLKKF, and SGML into multi baggers, along with the additional boost from the SLI uplisting onto the NYSE. Besides the uplisting and the Koch partnership, I think investors have every right to be getting impatient with management with regards to meeting timelines on reaching commercial production. If you had polled this board back in January on where we would be without a Lanxess JV done at year end, most would have guessed sub $2 if I had to guess, maybe even sub $1. To be sitting at close to $9 with no JV is almost a Christmas miracle in itself! Almost no other stock in other industries could withstand such a lengthy delay without a large haircut on the share price.

Can't argue with that. Also have learned not to bet against them, but I have certainly hedged my bets. It's just such a damn good situation if they can just get going. Lanxess has the perfect location, facilities and infrastructure, but can't seem to get out of their own way and don't understand venturing into new areas. Too fearful of losing a dime to spend a dollar. May be wrong but that's how it's seem to be shaping up. Hopefully Koch will speed this along and get SLI a bigger piece of the pie.

My question is, is there construction activity on site going on?

I'm not sure what you're specifically looking for, but construction on a commercial producing facility is really the tail end of a project.
There are engineers in this thread that can name and define the steps better than I can, but Koch just involved (and I don't believe Lanxess has done a damn thing on the commercial front). When they mention beginning FEED, that is the very beginning of actually determining what to build (if anything.)
After that, there's design, permits, procurement and eventually construction.
Koch is capable of doing all of those facets, which is why we were excited to have them involved, as opposed to Lanxess who seems content to do nothing. We shall see if Koch pushes the process along.
So I would suggest, there's no construction of any relevance to our pet project going on yet.
(Other than I'm sure they're continuing to tweak the demo units for maximum efficient production for future reference.)

Nice to see $9.2 today, haven't seen that in a while.
But yeah, like I said earlier, they just signed an LOI on the FEED so I really think it won't be till 2023 until there's "ground breaking" on a commercial facility, and not meaningful production here until the beginning of 2024.
Super glad that Koch put a floor on this investment, but still gonna need Lanxess' cooperation to reach new all time highs imho.

Seems to be moving at a snail's pace given that proofs of concept happened over a year ago. Hopefully Koch can kick it into gear.

Who knows, but it could be early 2023 at the Lanxess south plant project. Would be at least 2024 on Tetra most likely. I would rather they surprise us with an earlier date than disappoint by missing timelines. I feel like they are trying to avoid doing that again.

Curious, my fully paid lending have shown zero since Christmas eve. I wonder if it is taking a holiday.
