Tuesdays are usually news days, but not expecting anything from SLI this week. It would be fitting though that at one of our darkest hours, when everyone figured the show was over, that Mintak somehow finally came through in the clutch.

GM eyes electric boats in new investment

General Motors has acquired a 25% stake in Pure Watercraft, a Seattle-based startup specializing in electric boats and outboard motors.

GM will provide Pure Watercraft with direct supply chain and manufacturing assistance and access to its parts catalog and electric vehicle components as the companies partner to create a line-up of all-electric marine products and applications. Specific product offerings from GM's collaboration with Pure Watercraft will be disclosed at a later date.

I’m honestly not sure what news could be released at this point, unless they put together some data showing actuals regarding what the recovery rate of the pilot unit really is.

Other than that, JV is really the only potential on the horizon which I still think is 30 days away at best before we get into a window where that news might be “any day now”.

Always the potential that something hits totally out of left field, like some other company showing interest in developing the former Tetra project, but I don’t see news coming soon.

Might not be a bad idea to look into Tetra itself, I have close to 900 shares, its a way less risky way to play DLE, I am also looking into Compass Minerals who has assets near Salt Lake City

I really don’t understand why they can’t publish actual recoveries and production rates unless they aren’t there. They don’t have to report that their trial is a complete success and ready for a feasibility study.

Having been involved in a number of developmental projects I can tell you with great certainly the business/project team releases only the smallest amount of information as remotely possible. The less others know, the better the chances of the projects success. Business competition is cut throat and dirty.

In this case I'm sure there has been internal discussions, especially since Thursday, on drafting a release of info that is generic as possible, but let's folks know there has been progress.
