Well damn ***stepping back from Ledge***
I had only heard the first 45 minutes so missed this. That is assuring the iron is still on... dont think it is imminent but atleast there is talks.

I don’t think everyone was thinking like we were (that JV was coming on Thursday with the Lanxess report). If everyone was thinking that way I think the sell off would’ve been much worse.
It’s almost night and day listening to Albemarle talk about wanting to expand aggressively and lock down lithium supply while Lanxess talks about deleveraging and lithium doesn’t seem to be as pressing for them as Albemarle. Really wish the 150,000 acres and the JV was with Albemarle instead of Lanxess, odds are the first plant would have been well underway by now.

Any chance Lanxess is shopping Lake Resources?
Posted on 11/6/21 at 7:36 pm to GeneralLee
Lanxess doesn’t seem to have any sense of urgency and they’re too damn tight with their money. The money they pissed away on acquisitions could have them at the top of the lithium food chain for a fraction of the prince.

Agreed. I feel like they are focusing their vision in a different sector. Lithium right now is clearly just a byproduct to them.

Something else to think about… there exists a ton of power and money that wants this technology to never hit the mainstream

I think that ship has sailed

I have considered that. There is big money tied up in ventures that stand to be obsolete if SLI is successful. Unfortunately, it's not always the best that wins. They have a loyal following though. Word is slowly getting out. Part of it is on SLI for not more clearly explaining how they are VERY different from everyone else.

I have come to the conclusion that no one really knows shite on this thing
Posted on 11/8/21 at 6:55 am to Ron Cheramie
I’ve come to the conclusion that I probably feel in love with a solid stick but I should never, ever fall in love with a stock again.

I finally got a chance to listen to the Lanxess call from Friday (the second one, not the annual report call), and if you forward to 1:09:00 an analyst from Goldman asks about standard lithium. At about 1:10:15 their CEO starts to comment, something to the effect of "Sometimes you can't disclose things due to an ongoing analysis and finalization of agreements, and adhering to legal constraints. For that very reason I can't communicate about it right now, If it changes in the future where we can talk about it, then we will."

Thanks for listening to the call, Lee. I listened to the part you referenced, and in the analyst's question to the CEO, she mentions "we have travel possible to the US next week, is that for SLI...?"
Which he responds that he can't respond due to legal restraints.
Yet another week of hopefulness?

Thanks for getting my hopes up again this week.

Up 2-5%, which will result in El Groucho complaining that he’s going broke and we only have down days. We were up almost a 1% last week and you would have thought it was a market sell off. We have become like the cryptos with expectations.
