Never would've guessed that. What line of work are you in?

I worked for an agricultural investment company for over a decade, left there at the end of June. Now i'm going down the entrepreneurial route for the next adventure in my professional life. I do consulting work for several companies to help pay the bills and we have a farm focusing on specialty crops that provides some income (but mostly gives me sanity from the rest of the world!). Also do investing in stocks as you can see here. The ultimate homerun I'm working on is a financial planning website that is going live next week, been working on getting it developed for three years now. It's going to be a free beta launch, but with the goal that some company like Etrade or Fidelity will pay me millions for it in a few years. Unfortunately I checked and Chicken doesn't want me to mention/promote the website here, which is a bummer because I think it'd be a great resource for the board. So between the income streams from the consulting/farming and the stock investing returns and the financial planning website, hoping to be "retired" by age 40.

I hadn't heard of it until you just mentioned it, so I just did five minutes of DD. I don't think their location or company story really has much of a competitive advantage. The big dogs in the greenhouse space are in the Southwest, and then you have smaller size operations directly adjacent to major cities like Chicago or New York.

Long long term (like 10-20 years out) I'm bearish on many agricultural companies as drastic changes in technology (synthetic food, etc.) will make many of these capex heavy models (greenhouses, dairy barns, processing plants, etc.) obsolete.

FYI baws my fully paid lending income just hit my accounts for the first month, and the interest earned from my Roth accounts goes directly back into those accounts and is tax free. I was assuming all the interest from all my accounts would go into my brokerage account and be taxed as ordinary income.

Idk if I were y’all I’d buy land it seems like most of y’all just want to work til you’re like millenial age and quit and that’s probably the reason all y’all do is complain about money

I’m a millenial now but I’m gonna work til I’m an old boomer and die on the job or like get shot. But my plan is to buy as much land as I can. If I have shithead kids I’ll give it to my cool relatives or something I guess
