Hell of a day. My biggest one day gain ever (9% for my portfolio and that’s with 30% sitting in cash).

Figured as such when I saw NVVE run also (with your ASTS having a day).
I thinned out NVVE in the high 13s but still have a position. SLI is the gorilla in my portfolio though. No ASTS but have NSH warrants. I think those have some upside

SLI up 18.11% for the day. Enjoy the good days, have a beer.

Expecting JV soon with both SLI and NVVE.... my body is ready! NVVE is such a wild card, same as ASTS. Once JV is signed, SLI is close to zero doubt.

100k tons of lithium carbonate equivalent per year?
100k mt/year x 10k usd/mt = 1 billion/year in revenue
does this look right?
Don’t forget the revenue (some of it) will be split because of the JV

Yes. I believe they said they could up production at Lanxess to 100,000 plus. The Tetra site could produce 40 tons or more/year. You won't find that anywhere. That gives me hope for 40k+tons Lanxess sites and 40k tons from Tetra. Not basing my PT on that though. I would Say 70ktons/yr Lanxess total and 20ktons/yr fairly conservatively. With no additional expansion or brine wells. I think they can and will do more, but that's pure conjecture.

I think SLI will own upwards of 100,000 tons/yr by 2025-27, if not sooner based on prices and demand. That's from Lanxess and Tetra combined and assuming 60/40 split.
This sounds like a stretch after reading there website.
Looks like only after phase 3 will they be producing 20,000 tonnes a year. I can’t find what the phases are though. Can anyone clarify this?

Key Points: Annual production: 20,900 tonnes lithium carbonate (1) Plant operation: 25 years (2) Total capital expenditures estimate of US$437 Million (3) Non-optimised reagent cost per tonne lithium carbonate of US$3,107 All-in operating costs, including all direct and indirect costs, reagent, sustaining capital, insurance and mine-closure costs of US$4,319 per tonne of lithium carbonate (4) Average selling price $13,550 USD per tonne battery quality lithium carbonate (5) Pre-tax US$1.3 Billion NPV at 8% discount rate and IRR of 42% Post-tax US$ 989 Million NPV an 8% discount rate and IRR of 36% Resource upgraded to 3,140,000 tonnes Lithium Carbonate Equivalent (LCE) at the Indicated Category Notes: All model outputs are expressed on a 100% project ownership basis** [1] Total production, using existing brine supply rates at the completion of Phase 3 [2] Plant operation commences upon completion of Phase 1 [3] Includes 25% contingency of both direct and indirect capital costs [4] Includes all operating expenditures, including sustaining capital and allowance for mine closure [5] Selling prices ranging between US$10,840-16,260/tonne were modeled as part of sensitivity analysis ** 70/30 JV in favor of Lanxess AG with an option for Standard Lithium to achieve 40% subject to attaining certain milestones

20K tons is for one plant, there will be 3 Lanxess plants

Curious for you guys at what point is SLI no longer a buy? Once they release 2 quarters' worth of earnings?
Posted on 7/20/21 at 5:17 pm to F73ME
For me, depends on what contracts and expansion plans are looking like.
I bought more yesterday fwiw

I'll start to scale out at $15-20/share or when I think the market has the DCF on this valued correctly.

Yep yesterday's adds were a great opportunity.

Yeah, I thought the days of below $5 were gone for good. Luckily I was able to get another scoop of the SLI ice cream.

Supadave, I think we're in the same boat. Slow and steady as we go.

So mad this took the hard dip when i was on vacation. Had an alert set for below $5 and was not near a phone or computer when that occurred. Planned on adding another good chunk.
Posted on 7/20/21 at 9:42 pm to JustForThisThread
That happened to me at $0.85. Sucked

Interesting news on the Lithium front. Piedmont Lithium (contract with Tesla) is getting some local push back on a new project in N.C., meant to supply TSLA with Lithium. Seems they put the cart before the horse. Stock down 20% today.

Ouch. Failed to tell investors that they hadn't applied for permits. Good luck near Charlotte. shite, where is Tesla gonna get all that lithium they need. And with all the push back domestically on these mines and their horrible impact on the environment, someone needs to produce lithium in an eco-friendly manner from the largest lithium brine deposit on the planet. Cha-mf'ing-ching.
