He's good for 95% of the population. Very conservative. I dont agree with paying off homes early at these rates. But his strategy would give peace of mind to most and allow them to retire.

It's not that simple, but if you are going to box the question into a yes or no. Have to go with YES.

Just looking at some of the savings/retirement money stats that are typically posted, a lot more people should follow him. That includes some high earners whose terrible money skills are masked by their high incomes.

His no-nonsense, matter of fact, stern & simple steps to get out of debt and promote wealth building practice is just what some people need. At his track record is pretty good for the population that needs a swift kick in the rear to get moving. His message isn't for everybody, but it seems to turn results

Yes, I like him, just about everyone I know regardless of income would have been better of if they had just followed Dave’s simple philosophy, and that includes some people that were paying for professional financial advise.

He’s good for debtaholics. Not good for people with above average financial acumen.

Yes for people who can't manage money.

No for people trying to maximize wealth.

He sounds like a good guy, but since his audience can't tie their own shows financially, it's pretty basic.

I never get the hate for him. He helps a hell of a lot more people than he hurts.

His system is a baseline and appeals to the lowest common denominator, anyone can use it at any income or education level.

I disagree with him on a few things (paying house off early and never using credit cards, for example) but I get why he has to advocate those things

White Coat Investor is a blog (and podcast) for these people. One of his biggest inspirations is Dave Ramsey, and I find him to be far better at getting into the weeds than Dave.

ETA: yes on Dave
