Hawkeye, any recent jumbo va loan rates getting down that low? I’m currently locked at 2.75 but I’ll certainly restart the refinance process if I can get it lower

So coming out of forbearance making my first payment this month and looking to refinance. Anything I need to be concerned with? I was trying to wait until my other house sells to refinance my new one but I gotta get moving at these rates (currently at 3.75). Basically went into forbearance because they offered it and was a way to not have to worry about two house notes during all this. Will the forbearance affect ability to refinance?

you will need to catch up the loan, document where the funds came from, and get out of forebearance

jumbo is a dirty word right now. We are not doing VA jumbo currently. the only jumbo loans we are offering is on our portfolio and the rates are not as low as conventional

So what if the forbearance was just tacked to the end of the loan? Do I need to make all the missed payments ?

Just locked in 2.625 on a 15 yr. Didn’t shop around - good enough for me. Agent recommended a guy and I rolled with it.

the forebearance is normally not tacked on to the back of the loan. that is called a modification where they take 3 payments on the end of loan. totally different. Forbearance aggreements make you pay all the missed payments at the end of the forbearance period.

2.625-2.7 depends on LTV and loan amount. you need to borrowing over 200k and under 65% LTV to get the best rates.

You either need to pay the back payments current out of pocket before closing or modify the payments/ get on a payment plan and after 3mnths you can refi
