Anybody had experience with any of the online agencies like Savvy or Insurify?

Currently at Allstate and been with them for 20 yrs. Wife and I are driving 2019 Armada and I have an old Gen 1 Raptor.
Comp/Bumped up coverage some/$500 deduct.
That is $430/month. That has steadily gone up quickly the last 4-5 years from $250ish.
Bought my daughter a 2021 compact suv and added her to the policy.
We have had no claims or tickets in 8 yrs or so.
Bill is now $823. That is just stupid.

Did one of the online agents to get prices.
Same coverage bumped up the deductible to $2500.
They came back with Geico for $271/mnth.
How is that possible to have that kind of swing in pricing?

Check a local insurance company that shops several major companies. I left Liberty Mutual after 30 years and my rates drops by 30% and have stayed that way.

Geiko can save you 15% or more on your car insurance.

So can almost anyone else who is your current carrier. That’s because your car is worth significantly less than it was when you originally insured it.

Unless you’re a liability only guy, like myself, you should shop auto insurance every 1-3 years.

Honestly, you should be shopping new carriers every couple of years.

I jumped from Progressive to Geico a few years ago. Just jumped back to Progressive last week and saved nearly 50% on auto premiums while homeowners remained flat.

Progressive is usually pretty good.

I just shopped State Farm front USAA...

The car rates were better especially for a 16 yr old female driver..

The problem is the damn hurricane deductible. USAA is 1% wind / hail and 1% other...

State farm wants 4% hurricane deductible. One hurricane we'd wipe out all the cost savings.

Just dumped Allstate for homeowners and went with Kin. Will probably go with Geico for car insurance since they will save me $70 or so in 6 months.

Anytime I've ever tried to shop insurance, State Farm and Allstate are by far the most expensive.

Geico and Progressive are usually the cheapest options with car and then homesite as the home underwriter.

I've never made a claim in 15 years, so wouldn't know

But prices are competitive. So get the competitive homeowners and then significantly cheaper auto.

Its a win/win.

tuzak,
How long you been with them?
That is not a bad rate though. Your cars are newer than mine and with just the wife and I mine was higher at $430. That was a $500 ded.

You get what you pay for. These lowball insurance companies are the lowest rated when it comes to service and paying claims. It’s not hard to find a list if the worst insurance companies.

I just priced auto and switched. I saved freaking $863 every six months by making a call to farm bureau insurance. What a BS scam auto insurance is in Louisiana.
