Lol Chapek had just got that 3 year extension i thought. Nice exit payout for him.

My wife went in early and is reading emails. The cast members are thrilled.
Now, as a show of good faith, he needs to fire that woman that has decided all movies have to have pervert content because she has a tranny kid. frick her for helping to tank my DIS.

Hmm. The cast members supported this.
The CMs were so angry at the state for Don't Say Gay and what DeSantis did.
The CMs seemed happy with the direction Disney was going.
The public wasn't and the stock price suffered and that's why a change is being made.

I don’t think people realize Iger was the one who started the company on the downturn. In my opinion, he’s the one that’s responsible for most of the mess that is Disney

They don’t. All the woke movies they are pushing out were green lit by Iger. Not Chapek. Even though I think Chapek is a fricking idiot, this isn’t great news by any means.

Hate to break it to y’all but Iger is the reason Disney is in the position it’s in. He is responsible for all the wokeness and the garbage produced the last couple years. Especially the Star Wars failures

NOLA people may understand this.
Iger = Mitch Landrieu
Chapek = LaToya Cantrell
Lot of people were ready for Iger to leave... remember he actually left earlier than he said he would.
Chapek was an absolute disaster which has made people yearn for the "good ole days" of Iger.
Iger absolutely was pushing the company in a certain direction. Chapek comes in, COVID made it worse but he was wholly inable to run the company.
Topically, Disney won't change. But I expect Iger to at least be less tone death and to try to be a little more behind the scenes in the changes he makes. He will probably roll back some of the public changes that just totally pissed off the public.
