All 3 major index futures down 4+% in early Sunday futures; -1,500 on Dow futures

The blood letting continues. S&P500 would be firmly in bear market territory if it opened at these levels.

While what Trump is looking to accomplish is the right thing, he has completely screwed the pooch on how he has handled.

This crash makes no sense outside of world war or credit crisis unless the entire market was completely fake. We’re gonna blow through Covid.

It is all fake. The Federal Reserve has what's called a Plunge Protection Team. They'll buy stocks to prop up the markets eventually.

If you take Trump at his word on tariffs, I know big ask. Then this a massive price increase that needs to be priced in to the earnings of basically every business in America. Very few businesses will escape the tariffs without being hit by them directly.
Problem is that nobody knows what is going to happen since the administration says they are open for negotiation.
So possible massive hits to bottom lines of companies + massive uncertainty with no timetable = extreme downward pressure to price in.
Stock market reaction seems very rational to me. Selling will continue like this until the admin reverses course, or eventually we run out of buyers that think the administration will reverse course on tariffs.

Lots of people were telling everyone there was an AI Bubble. If you still kept money in stocks after the Deepseek release and also knowing Trump was going to use tariffs as a tool to try and force better trade deals for America then you have no one but yourself to blame

This market has been propped up by covid free money, billions upon billions of free PPP ppp loans that never had to be paid back, USAID money and NGO money being pumped into the system, even if going to fraudulent sources, it was still flowing into the economy.. Trump removed the USAID and NGO money.
The market of the past 4 years was all fake. look at how out of whacks some of the PE ratios were. Company fundamentals or valuations meant nothing. All you had to do in your earnings calls was say Cloud 2-3 years ago, and AI last yeah and leading into this year.
That being said, I will start buying soon, everything at a discount, and will keep DCAing if we drop further.
